Late spring has passed, and summer has come in Jinan.

Early summer is the most beautiful season in Jinan. The spring water began to seep and converge, and the water in Daming Lake was clear and light green. Green willows around the lake hang like gold thread, and the lake is full of lotus flowers. Graceful lotus bones bloom among the green lotus leaves. Flowers are thin and delicate, not as warm and shy as in midsummer, and clusters of land are floating with faint fragrance. Suddenly I remembered the poem "Little Pond" by Yang Wanli, a poet in the Southern Song Dynasty: spring is quiet and precious for a trickle, and the shade of trees shines on the water and loves sunny and soft. The delicate lotus flower bud shows a sharp corner from the water, and a naughty little dragonfly stands on its head.

What a beautiful picture.

In this early summer in Jinan, in addition to the charming scenery, the most anticipated thing on the tip of the tongue is Pu Cai.

In the past, Daming Lake was huge. When the lake is booming, it is flat and smoky. Therefore, people praised Jinan as "a lake surrounded by lotus flowers and three willows, and a city with mountains and half a city". In the lotus room of Daming Lake, at that time, there was really a bunch of beautiful vegetables in the lotus root. After a quick look at Jinan, Ceng Yun said, "The general dishes in Daming Lake are like wild bamboo shoots in appearance and taste, and they are the treasures of plants and vegetables in several northern provinces." Now South Daming Lake, which is separated from Wulongtan by Becky Road, has been filled as Beiyuan Town, and this "half-city lake" is long gone. Fortunately, Pu Cai in Jinan can still be eaten, but most of them are planted and picked in ponds along the Yellow River.
