N95 Respirator
It can effectively prevent respiratory tract infection and smog.
N95 mask is one of nine kinds of anti-particle masks certified by NIOSH. "n" means not suitable for oily particles; "95" means that the filtration efficiency reaches 95% under the detection conditions specified by NIOSH standard.
N95 is not a specific product name. As long as the product meets the N95 standard and passes NIOSH review, it can be called "N95 mask".
The biggest feature of N95 mask is that it can prevent droplet infection caused by splashing body fluids or blood of patients. The diameter of the droplet is 1 to 5 microns.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the United States stipulates for medical institutions that medical personnel exposed to tuberculosis must wear masks above N95 standard.
Compared with medical surgical masks, N95 masks have better sealing performance. When choosing N95 mask, try to choose N95 mask without breathing valve.
Ordinary cotton mask
Its materials may be cotton, gauze, wool, canvas and velvet. Because this material itself is not dense enough to prevent infection.
For the purpose of self-protection and reducing the risk of respiratory infection, you can wear medical surgical mask and N95 mask.
If you go to a general open-air public place without contact with patients, you can choose to wear a medical surgical mask without excessive protection. However, if you come into contact with patients with suspected respiratory infection, you should wear N95 mask.

In the season of high incidence of respiratory infectious diseases, it is recommended to wear masks in crowded places such as supermarkets, shopping malls and cinemas.
