Why do you say three soap kings?
Master Zao is also the owner of the kitchen. The full name of Kitchen God is "Kitchen God who directs the Nine Spirits of the East Kitchen", commonly known as "Kitchen God", or "Kitchen God who directs real life", "Chef who cooks cigarettes for nine days in the East Kitchen", "Home Guard God" or "Kitchen King". In the north, he is called "Kitchen God", and Luan Men is regarded as one of the three benefactors. The origin of Kitchen God was very early, and the Shang Dynasty began to offer sacrifices among the people. Zhou Li, the son of Xu Suo, was regarded as the Kitchen God. Before Qin and Han Dynasties, it was listed as one of the five major sacrifices. Kitchen God, together with Door God, Well God, Ce Shen and Liu Zhong, is in charge of family peace and is respected by people. Besides being in charge of people's diet and convenience, the Kitchen God is an official sent by the Jade Emperor to check the good and evil of a family. Kitchen God accompanied the two gods, holding a "good jar" and a "bad jar", and recording the behavior of a family in the jar at any time, and then reporting it to the Jade Emperor God after the total at the end of the year. 1February 24th is the day when Kitchen God died. God will tell the Jade Emperor's family what they have done in the past year, so every household should "send Kitchen God". There are also different classes during the festival. As for when to thank the stove, there are so-called "three officials", "four people" and "Deng Wujia" among the people. "Officials" refer to officials, gentry and powerful people who are used to offering thanks to cooking stoves on 23rd. "Min" refers to ordinary people, who will give up cooking stoves on the 24th of a year, and "Deng Jia" refers to people who guard the water on the 25th of a year. However, at the age of 23, most people will choose to thank the stove, hoping to get the meaning from you. Generally, some sweet and sticky things such as honeydew melon, glutinous rice balls, caramel and pig blood cake are used as gifts for the kitchen god. In short, the purpose of using these sticky and sweet things is to shut the kitchen god up and let him say more good things when he returns to heaven. The so-called "eat well and speak well" and "good things spread to the sky and bad things are put aside". Besides, sticking to the kitchen god's mouth makes it hard for him to speak ill of him. Some people paint the kitchen god with distiller's grains, which is called "drunkenness", which means to make the kitchen god drunk, making him dizzy and at a loss, thus avoiding making a few small reports. Therefore, the god of offering sacrifices to the stove symbolizes the meaning of praying for good luck and avoiding disaster. When offering sacrifices to Zao Jun, make sacrifices, burn incense and worship, and then enter the wine for the first time. At this time, we should sincerely pray to Zao Jun, and then enter the wine for the second time. After drinking for the third time, we will tear off the old statue of Zao Jun and burn it with armor, horses and money, which means sending Zao Jun to heaven and the ceremony will be completed successfully. Burning the horse with paper paste is the mount of the kitchen god. We should prepare some soybeans and hay as dry food and forage for the kitchen god and the horse to travel long distances. In addition, we should burn incense and kowtow, and grab a few handfuls of straw ash in the pit of the kitchen and spread it on the ground in front of the kitchen, muttering something like "It's safe to go back to the palace only when the weather speaks well." The purpose is to pray for the kitchen king to report all kinds of good things to the jade emperor in one year, without saying bad things. Don't forget to bring them back on the fourth day of the first month (New Year's Eve) after sending them away. This is called "taking care of the kitchen" or "taking care of the gods". The ceremony of picking up the kitchen god is very simple. Just stick a new kitchen god on the stove.
