There is a small town near Changbai Mountain in China, which is Yanji City. I went to Yanji to attend a friend's party the year before last. I'm looking forward to going to Changbai Mountain. As a result, it was not produced due to time constraints. On the contrary, I tasted a very distinctive snack in Yanji town. This is a bit of luck on this trip. I haven't tasted bread and rice in just one day, only cold noodles and three kinds of snacks, which deeply attracted me. I will share it with snacks today.
cold noodles with sauce
According to friends, cold noodles are one of the most famous snacks in Yanji. As a foodie, I still don't understand the difference between cold noodles and roasted cold noodles. When I came to a small restaurant on the street, I was surprised to find a big bowl of cold noodles. Whether it is delicious or not, the first thing I feel is full of sincerity, because it is heavy. This kind of bowl is usually used to make soup bowls at home, and people with small appetite probably can't finish it.
That's black buckwheat noodles. The dishes on it are very rich, including shredded beef with cucumber, white sesame, coriander leaves, quail eggs and so on. This is the richest side dish noodle I have ever eaten except snail powder. Eating noodles and drinking soup is sour and sweet, especially the taste is very strong, and it flows out before you open your mouth. Later, I came across Yanji cold noodles as one of the "Top Ten Noodles in China". What a "blind ignorance"!
Mingtai shredded fish
I never remember the name of this snack at that time. I accidentally brushed an anchor video on a watermelon video, only to know that I was eating Mingtai shredded fish in Yanji. In the words of our hometown, it is whitebait. People use it to hold wine, and we use it to hold cold noodles, which makes snacks taste like a big meal.
Yanji Mingtai shredded fish is a little more sweet and spicy than ordinary small fish, crisp and appetizing. It is estimated that it will be very thick after dinner, but it is a bit redundant to use Mingtai shredded fish below. It is ideal to eat and drink at the same time.
Pot meat
Compared with Mingtai shredded fish, Yanji braised pork is more suitable to be eaten with cold noodles, especially when you soak braised pork in cold noodle soup before eating. Just eating sour taste is a bit boring, and foreigners are still not used to it for the first time.
Slightly golden pot-wrapped meat, although the weight is not much, can't stand the big toss. A few crispy pieces of meat will fill you up. It's best not to order so much when eating alone. Weigh your appetite first, and then finish the cold noodles.
Kimchi
Many Koreans in Yanji eat cold noodles with side dishes. I think there are spicy cabbage on every table. I don't know if this kind of spicy cabbage and kimchi are the same, but it is a new experience for us to meet hot cabbage and sweet and sour cold noodles. The sour and sweet taste makes our taste a little too much.
Crispy, sweet and sour spicy cabbage, fresh and refreshing, is delicious with meals. I saw an introduction in Xiaohongshu the other day and bought a pack of food myself. It's great to have noodles for dinner! I really don't want to go after eating these delicious snacks.
