The street organizations in Henan have been adjusted many times, until July 1998, Nanhua West Street and Hongde Street merged into the current Nanhua West Street Street unit.
During the Kangxi period, foreign trade began its first prosperous period.
According to historical records, in the 24th year of Kangxi (1685), the Qing government designated Guangzhou as the only port for China's foreign trade, and opened Huangpu Village in Henan as the port for foreign merchant ships, replacing Fuxi Port, the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. This gives Henan an opportunity to develop. With the opening of ports, facilities and industries serving foreign trade are gradually established. The unique advantages of Nanhua West Street have already appeared. Linjiang docks and warehouses, as well as some foreign villages and warehouses engaged in the export of native products, have appeared one after another. Nanhua West Street is the earliest developed urban commercial and residential area in Haizhu District.
In the early years of the Republic of China, the old city hall began to build roads in Henan. Nan 'an Street, Longxi Xiyue, Longxi Zhongyue, Fulin Street, Zilai Street, Xianyong and Yuelong East Street were successively built into Nanhua Road, Tongfu Road and Hongde Road by the old city hall. 1933 with the completion and opening of Haizhu bridge, the traffic in the whole Henan area has been greatly improved. Suddenly, all kinds of small shops, restaurants and restaurants appeared in the arcade of South China West Street, and the so-called second boom period appeared in history.
Many wealthy businessmen chose to emigrate and naturalize, which made Nanhuaxi famous in South Guangdong. As early as the Qianlong period, Pan Zhencheng, the world-famous richest man and the leader of the 13th line in Guangzhou at that time, chose this place to build a residential garden. Pan Zhencheng took a fancy to the pleasant scenery, simple folk customs and low land price in the Linjiang area of Nanhua West Street, and decided to build a large-scale project and establish a foundation here.
At that time, Pan Zhencheng invested heavily in the west of Nanxi, bought a piece of beach land with a total area of 20 hectares, and opened a township to build a temple. This plot faces beautiful trees and bamboos in the east and leisurely Pearl River water in the north. Pan Jia also built three stone bridges on the stream, namely Shuzhu, Zhu Huan and Yuelong, and named them Longxi Township. Since then, the Pan Shi family has been naturalized in Henan and spread to ten people. Pan Zhen cost people became the ancestor of Longxi Township in Pan Shi, which is the earliest Kaiji people in Nanhua West Street today.
1803, another thirteen wealthy businessmen, Yi and Wu Hangbing Yong, built the "Wansongyuan" residence on the east bank of Nanxi, facing the Panjia family in Xixi across the river. At this point, local rich people and overseas Chinese businessmen in Henan rushed to follow suit, and Chen Garden, Mei Garden, Zhang Garden and Ye's Near Garden were built nearby, making the banks of Nanxi a place where rich people live in many places.

An old couple want to find a place to spend their old age. They searched in Guangzhou for half a year and bought a three-and-a-half-story building in Nanhua West Street. The name of the house is Lu Min, and there is a couplet hanging at the door, which reads: "You can use your sensitivity and confidence, and you can live in South China." Since then, "living in Nanhua can make you live in peace" has become a mantra for people to evaluate Nanhua West Street.
Longdaowei small market has flourished for more than 80 years.
When I turned from the archway of Tongfu West Road into Nanhua West Street, I saw a long and narrow Mashi Road with ancient blue brick houses on both sides. Three old people sat chatting at the gate of the brigade, and middle-aged women put out a square table in front of their house to make beads. This scene made people suddenly forget the hustle and bustle of the metropolis.
Go on, the street has presented two exits in front of me. At first glance, there are branches in these streets. No wonder some people once described southwest China as a maze: the road traffic system in this block is formed by the intersection of north-south straight street and east-west horizontal lane. However, I'm afraid getting lost is unnecessary. Look for the neighborhood under the old trees in the streets. They will not only show me the way enthusiastically, but also take me some way until I know the direction.
Under the introduction of my neighbors, I went to the longest and most famous dragon guide tail in the west of South China. This street is located beside Zhu Huan Bridge on Tongfu West Road. Its predecessor was the river under the stone bridge. Later, people built stone slabs by the river, and neighbors living on both sides of the river also opened their own facades and set up stalls to start small businesses. So far, Longdaowei has become a famous market in Henan.
More than 80 years have passed, and today's Longdaowei market is still prosperous. Here, the neighborhood sells fruits, daily necessities, pork and vegetables, snacks and herbal tea ... Here 10 yuan has three pieces of underwear, 5 yuan has a big bowl of beef brisket powder, and the price of chicken and pork is one or two cheaper than the surrounding markets. Therefore, not only the blocks in Fiona Fang are attracted by Longdaowei market, but also the blocks that have moved to Tianhe and Fangcun will often come back to buy. Neighborhoods in southwest China also like to go shopping together. Liang Yi, who lives in Longli Lane, Huitong Fuxi, said that she often buys food with her neighbors and likes to bargain.
