Introduction to Wazi Street

Wazi Street is the ancestral home recorded in the genealogy of a considerable number of Hakkas at home and abroad (such as the Hakkas in Shaoguan and the Hakka groups in western and southeastern Guangdong who call themselves Yahua people). It is located in Shanghang County, Fujian today.

Shanghang is the cradle of the growth of the Hakka ethnic group. During the migration and development of the Hakka ethnic group, Shanghang is another "ancestral home" after the Hakka ethnic group Ning Hushubi.

Now sleeping in history, "Wazi Street" has reappeared in Shanghang, providing a new platform for Hakkas from all over the world to trace their roots, visit their ancestors, and travel.
