Introduction to Myanmar
Myanmar is an ancient civilization with a long history, formerly known as Hongsawady. After the unified country was formed in 1044, it experienced three feudal dynasties: Bagan dynasty, Toungoo dynasty and Gongbang dynasty.
Myanmar is shaped like a rhombus, bordering China's Yunnan and Tibet in the northeast, India and Bangladesh in the northwest, Laos and Thailand in the east, and the Bay of Bengal in the southwest. Because it is located at the intersection of Chinese civilization and Indian civilization, Myanmar's culture has also been greatly influenced by China and India.
Myanmar is mostly located in tropical areas, with a hot climate, abundant precipitation, and mountainous territory. It is rich in oil, natural gas, gold, iron, jade, timber and other resources, but its economy is very backward. One of the less developed countries designated by the United Nations.
