Reminiscing about the taste of youth

First of all, we must review one thing: I haven’t updated the article for a long time. I really don’t know what I’m busy with, but no matter what, I hope I can always retain my persistence in my dreams.

Recently, I always like to reminisce about my college days. Maybe what I miss is not the four years, but the people and things I encountered during that time.

When I went to Yangling for college, I felt that many things were already destined. I still miss Guomao 083, and I still miss 604. Although our dormitory is a mixed dormitory of two classes, the six like-minded sisters still maintain a very good relationship. I have heard about many disputes, harem fights and gossips in college female dormitories, but these have nothing to do with me, because they are related to We have nothing to do with it. Six silly girls went shopping together from morning till dusk; they went to eat all kinds of food together, from roadside stalls to high-end restaurants; they sang K together, from duet singing to group fun.

The reason why I call a group of girls brothers is because they all call me "brother!" I don't remember the reason, but I only know that I am still their eldest brother to this day.

I have a journey. I plan to go back to my alma mater for the 5th anniversary of my graduation next year. I don’t know if I can get back the feeling of the past and taste the taste of the past: street Malatang, Lao Meng noodles, The dumpling house in Dongmen, the small hot pot in the food court, Wallace’s burgers, Lao Ba Mi Noodles and Hangli Ramen. I hope I will have the opportunity to eat with those flowers again.

Malatang on the street

I once set a record of shopping for 12 hours with my sisters in the dormitory, from 10 am to 10 pm. In fact, at that time I deliberately waited until dark before coming back, just to wait for the spicy hotpot on display at the night market on the street. I remember that my favorite shop was a mom-and-pop shop, right on the street, with a few small benches and tables facing the street. The women are responsible for selling, serving dishes and collecting money, while the men cook the spicy hotpot. I put the chili and sesame sauce in based on my own needs. Now that I think about it, the Malatang here is really nothing special. I don’t know if it was because I was hungry or poor at the time, but I couldn’t get enough of the 50-cent Malatang for more than ten yuan. . And I like to put a lot of sesame sauce every time. Maybe my taste buds were formed at that time, so I still retain my preference for sesame sauce as a dipping sauce when eating hot pot.

Lao Meng Mianpi

Lao Meng Mianpi is a place with a sense of the times. The owner is an old man who is over 70 years old. He uses the oldest briquette and bamboo steamer to make the dough. A bowl costs 3 yuan. There are only a few stools in the store. There is no dining environment. It is the old man’s private place. Kitchen room. Every time I go to eat, the old man cuts the dough in a hurry, then slowly and accurately scoops out the amount of each seasoning and mixes it. When there were no guests, the old man would sit at the door and smoke a cigarette. When I was at North School, I couldn't help but want to eat a bowl of old-style Lao Meng noodles. But then when I got to South School, the road was not smooth, so I ate less.

Dongmen Dumpling House

When I think of Dongmen Dumpling House, I can’t help but laugh. There is an interesting thing that I will never forget: the six sisters in the dormitory often stayed together. Every time we go to a dinner party, we laugh and laugh all the way. When we get to the restaurant, we chatter non-stop before the food is served. Once the food is served, there is immediate silence! Because if you are busy talking, the food may be gone in the next second. So I vaguely remember that there was a girl in the dormitory who missed the first plate of delicious dumplings because she answered a phone call.

We still keep the custom of going to Dongmen to eat dumplings every winter solstice. Apart from the dumplings made by my mother, what I miss most is the taste of the dumplings here. There are so many people here to eat dumplings during the winter solstice every year. If you come late, you have to wait for a long time. The store is not big, and the dumplings are all freshly made. The dumplings are well seasoned, with vegetarian meat and a variety of vegetables. Each time we order a different plate, and then we all eat together. There is also the hot dumpling soup, paired with cold dishes such as preserved eggs with sharp peppers and husband and wife lung slices. Ha, it is simply perfect.

At that time, dinners could always be done with discs and discs. It is difficult to do this at various dinner parties after graduation, and the food is not as delicious as it was back then. Time has passed and the food has become more and more delicious, but we have become more and more picky about food satisfaction.

Small hot pot in the food court

I remember that I was a freshman in 2008, and prices were not that high. In addition, the consumption level of Yangling, a small town, was low. I have never eaten 16 since I left Yangling. I have never tasted the self-service hotpot that costs ¥1,000, the kiwi fruit grown by my grandmother and sold by the pound, or the KTV that costs ¥68 per hour.

Around 2009, self-service hot pot suddenly emerged in Yangling, and it was quite popular. Choose the pot base according to your personal taste and preference, and then choose the shabu-shabu dishes yourself. There are many seasonal vegetables and low-cost dishes, and the meat is limited. A bottle of Bingfeng or Coke for each person. I remember that the class’s New Year’s Eve dinner at the end of my freshman year was a small self-service hot pot. I still clearly remember the spectacular scene of 31 small pots arranged neatly.

Wallace's Burger

In the small town of Yangling, many things gradually emerged later. Naturally, there is no such thing as KFC McDonald's. There are only a few copycat hamburgers. Chicken shop. Later, I opened Wallace's, which is a somewhat famous burger fast food restaurant. The reason why I still particularly remember Wallace is because of a girl, my best friend. She had never eaten burgers or fried chicken before.

I remember I invited her to go to Wallace for dinner. She looked at me stupidly while eating her burger and said, "Do you know? The first time I had a burger was with you, how nice!" Now every time I pass by Wallace in Zhuhai, Everyone can't help but think of her. But now even KFC McDonald's can't match the delicious hamburgers and fries of that meal.

Laoba Rice Noodles

I remember the first time I ate Laoba Rice Noodles was brought back by my roommates. I drank up every last drop of the soup, leaving only Tim. Bottom of the bowl. Now I don’t seem to remember the taste except the oily and spicy Laoba Rice Noodles, but I still remember Lei Feng, the one who brought food in the dormitory. At most, she brought back 5 servings of Laoba Rice Noodles by herself, and her hands were all red. Then the people in the dormitory ate rice noodles together and turned into TV dramas. When they saw the plot about the scumbag and the bitch, they would angrily discuss it together. Suddenly I realized why the Laoba rice noodles I ate in the dormitory were always better than those in the store. It was because what my sister ate was not the rice noodles, but the atmosphere.

Kengli Ramen

Actually, I really don’t remember the name of this ramen shop, because the location of this shop is in the pit on the downhill slope opposite the south school gate, and It’s a place where we often gather, so we got the nickname “Kengli Ramen”. Because of the regional orientation for professional admissions, our dormitories were in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, so everyone around us started to fall in love with the northwest flavor. Hangli Ramen is a restaurant similar to Xinjiang noodles. Although the taste is not very authentic, it is quite satisfying. At this restaurant we like to eat cold noodles in the summer and ramen in the winter. Once, more than a dozen of us went to a ramen restaurant for dinner. We sat in two rows and it was a strange event for each of us to hold a bowl of noodles, but the little Muslim boss was very happy! Every time I eat here, I still feel the smell of the northwest.

I remember that in the first season of "Twelve Flavors", Nicholas Tse helped Nick Cheung find a delicious dish that he had eaten together when he proposed to his wife Guan Yonghe in Australia twelve years ago. But neither the freshest ingredients Nicholas Tse caught from the sea nor the superb cooking techniques could help Nick Cheung regain the taste of the past. In fact, what cannot be brought back is not the taste of the food, but the people and state of mind from twelve years ago.

I was 19 years old that year,

That year I met you, and you,

That year we had street Mala Tang together, < /p>

That year we sang "That Sea" together,

That year we performed "Dragon Movie" together

That year we walked together Passing the cherry blossom road.

Now, we are far apart,

But I still remember you, and you,

We cannot predict when we meet again,

I still remember you Nostalgic for the taste of youth.
