Xindu Guihu Park is located in the western suburb of Xindu County, 0/8km away from Chengdu/KLOC-,with an area of 40,000 square meters and a water surface of about 20,000 square meters. It is the former residence of Yang Sheng 'an, a famous scholar in Ming Dynasty, and is named after osmanthus trees planted all over the lake.
Yang Sheng 'an, a scholar in Xindu of Ming Dynasty, once planted osmanthus trees along the embankment in his garden, hence the name Xindu Gui Hu. Influenced by it, osmanthus fragrans has become a common practice in Xindu. Around the Mid-Autumn Festival every year, osmanthus fragrans is fragrant, and there are endless tourists visiting the lake to enjoy osmanthus fragrans, forming the annual Osmanthus fragrans Festival.
