Have you ever understood this?
Thanks for the invitation to travel now. In addition to visiting some famous scenic spots, visiting the local Fengqing Street is also an indispensable experience, because the Fengqing Street represents the local culture and lifestyle and is the most representative embodiment of a city’s temperament.
.
In recent years, I have enjoyed traveling to Foshan because this city has so many attractions worth visiting and delicacies worth tasting.
What I want to talk about in this issue is Lingnan Tiandi in Foshan.
When talking about Lingnan Tiandi ten years ago, many Guangzhou people may be confused. Today, it is different. In addition to locals and Guangzhou people who like to visit Lingnan Tiandi, many foreign tourists also come here to experience the charm of this historical district.
Lingnan Tiandi is right opposite the Foshan Ancestral Temple. The location is very good. It only takes three to five minutes on foot from the Ancestral Temple Station on the Guangfo Metro Line.
Lingnan Tiandi is about 18 kilometers away from Xilong, Liwan District, Guangzhou. It only takes about 40 minutes by car or subway. Taking the subway from Guangzhou South Railway Station takes about 1 hour and 23 minutes, which is shorter than the distance from Xilong to Huadu, Conghua and other places in Guangzhou.
The distance is even closer. Guangzhou people can take the subway to visit Lingnan Tiandi at any time.
1. Foshan Ancestral Temple Foshan Ancestral Temple is located in the center of Donghuali. Most of the buildings in the block were built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Due to the age, many buildings once became dangerous buildings. After rescue and maintenance, they showed their current appearance.
During the Qing Dynasty, merchants gathered in Foshan, and the most famous shops and firms were concentrated in Donghuali. Many time-honored brands in Foshan originated here.
Strolling along the stone road of Lingnan Tiandi, you can see blue brick houses or Western-style buildings everywhere. The famous Jane's Villa, Wenhuili Wedding House, Chen Taiji Winery, and Longtang Poetry Society are all here.
2. Wenhuili Marriage House Wenhuili Marriage House is located in Wenhui Lane, Fuxian Road. It was built in the early Qing Dynasty. It was originally a large residential complex of the Yang family. In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, it changed hands several times.
It evolved into a wedding house for rent.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Foshan was densely populated and ordinary people's houses were relatively narrow. Although they wanted to make the wedding event lively and beautiful in form, the space limited their use. Therefore, leasing wedding houses came into being.
For ordinary families, renting a wedding house to hold wedding events is both decent and lively, and is a matter of pride.
The main building of the wedding house in Wenhui is arranged along the longitudinal axis with three entrances. It has a majestic appearance and elegant details. It is now the main cultural attraction of Lingnan Tiandi. Here you can learn about Foshan’s wedding customs from the Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China.
The furnishings here also present the original appearance from the mid-Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China.
3. Jane's Villa Jane's Villa is both conspicuous and inconspicuous in the world of Lingnan. What is conspicuous is that its Western-style architectural style is very special, but it is inconspicuous because the two old trees in front of the door block the view.
Jane's Villa is a villa built by overseas Chinese Jian Zhaonan. It is the most luxurious of all his properties. It covers a total area of ??about 3,400 square meters. It is currently a provincial cultural relic protection unit. The main building is built in the style of an Italian Renaissance mansion. However,
There are still traces of Chinese style in the details. It is a masterpiece of Chinese and Western architecture in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.
