Brief introduction of longguan town
Longguan Town is located 30 kilometers southwest of Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. National Highway 1 12 runs through the whole town, west of Zhangjiakou 100 km, southeast of Beijing 170 km. The town covers an area of 287.3 square kilometers, with 86,000 mu of cultivated land and an average elevation of1.200m.. It governs 35 villages with 27,000 people 1 person, and there are four ethnic groups: Han, Hui, Manchu and Mongolian. In ancient times, Longguan was the land of Jinyun, a tribe of the Yellow Emperor. It was located in Qixian County in the Han Dynasty and Longmen County in the Tang Dynasty. 1958, Longguan and Chicheng counties merged. 1960, the county administration moved to Chicheng, and Longguan has been governed by the town since then. China Shigemitsu Tower is a national key cultural relic protection unit.
