Zigong Salt Industry History Museum is located in the center of Zigong, Sichuan Province. It was built in 1959 and is one of the earliest professional museums established in the history of Chinese museum development. 1. It is still the only salt industry history museum in China. Over the past 40 years since its establishment, the museum has made important achievements in collecting, researching, displaying and protecting historical relics of China's salt industry, mainly well salt, and has become a leader among the nearly 2,000 museums in China. The quarterly magazine "Museum" of UNESCO has made a special introduction to this museum. The museum site consists of two ancient buildings. One is the Xiqin Guild Hall and its ancillary buildings, a national key cultural relics protection unit, covering an area of ??6303m2; the other is the Wangye Temple, a cultural relics protection unit in Sichuan Province, covering an area of ??705m2. The basic display of this museum is "History of Development of Well Salt Production Technology" and can hold 1 to 4 temporary exhibitions at the same time. It is open to the public all year round and receives about 200,000 visitors every year.
