It is a colloid extracted from animal bones (mostly bovine bones or fish bones). Flake gelatin tablets, also known as gelatin tablets, are translucent and yellow-brown, with fishy smell. They need to be soaked in water to remove the fishy smell. The color of refined gelatin tablets after decoloration and deodorization is more transparent and the price is higher. Gelatine tablets must be stored in a dry place, otherwise they will stick together when they are wet.
Before using the gelatin tablets, soak them in cold boiled water to soften them. The purpose of softening is to make dehydrated gelatin tablets reabsorb water, which is beneficial to its rapid dissolution after adding warm solution. The solution to be cured should be as warm as possible, but not too hot, otherwise the curing effect of gelatin will be destroyed.
