Hongcun Travel Guide (Text)
Hongcun Town, formerly known as Hongcun and Qixia Town, is located in yi county, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. Hongcun, known as the "village in painting", has been listed in the World Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO. Experts say that Hongcun is "a rare village with detailed planning in ancient times, and the cultural landscape and natural landscape complement each other". Chinese and foreign architectural experts call it "a pearl of China tradition" and "a living textbook for studying the history of ancient water conservancy in China".

Hongcun has many scenic spots. From south to north, I recommend a classic route: Nanhu-Nanhu Academy-Chengzhitang-Yuenvma-Wangshi Ancestral Hall-Shuren Hall-Taoyuanju-Gushu. First, we visited the South Lake. At first glance, the horse's head wall with blue bricks and tiles is reflected in the clear lake, which makes people feel like they are in a paradise. Then go to Nanhu Academy, and all the way to Taoyuanju are ancient buildings. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from Taoyuanju to the last stop-Hongbai Ancient Tree. There are two big trees at the mouth of the ancient village, one is Pterocarya stenoptera and the other is Ginkgo biloba. In ancient times, if an old man died in the village, he would circle the ginkgo tree three times, and the family would circle Fengyang three times when they had a happy event. This is also one of the signs of Hongcun.

When we go to Hongcun, we can take the high-speed train by plane, or we can choose cars and drive by car. The nearest airport to Hongcun is Huangshan Airport, and Huangshan North Station is the nearest high-speed railway station to Hongcun. The drive to Hongcun is about 1.5 hours. Buses can generally be reached by bus from Huangshan Scenic Area Bus Station or yi county Bus Station. There are hotels and homestays. Hotels are generally more expensive, while homestays are mostly around 100.

Hongcun cuisine, local famous dishes include stinky mandarin fish, Laba tofu and so on. Snacks include crab cakes, Tan Hong bean curd, Hongcun Royal Cake and so on. Snack bars in the ancient town can also be seen everywhere. There are many small vendors selling sesame cakes in the street. For example, there is a big cake shop on the edge of Moon Marsh, and the Melaleuca cake is very distinctive. Therefore, there is no need to ask where Hongcun's special snacks are, just follow your own mood and eat all the way.

Tourists should pay attention to the fact that many small shops in Xidi will sell fake antiques, so you must be careful when traveling. Basically, many families will run this project. In addition, when traveling to Hongcun, you will often encounter ticket inspection, so you should take your ticket and certificate with you.
