There are really not many snacks. If you don't count rice and meat, you can go to Danyang, east of Qidu Hotel on Qingyun Road. Breakfast is good at Sa Restaurant opposite the cinema.

Local delicacies are mainly based on chicken. Chickens cooked in farmyards near Beiyuan Aqueduct are all delicious, such as Shuncheng, Haoyi, Jinyuyuan, etc.

There are several Shijia restaurants on the hillside in the northwest of Xintai City. They are opened by several Shijia brothers. Their sticky chicken is quite distinctive.

More than ten kilometers away from the city, there is Shunfeng Restaurant on the East Ridge of Aoyin, which serves whole lamb stew. Further east, there is Pingzi Restaurant, which has excellent pork trotters and grilled fish.

Xiyunlong Dumpling Shop on Beishou Road, Pingyang Road is very affordable.

There is a hand-cut mutton hot pot restaurant at the north end of Yinhe Road that is very good!

There is a shop selling salted duck in Yinbaodonglin, Tongtian Street. The owner is from Anhui and has been selling duck in Xintai for more than 20 years. The taste is very delicious.

There is a Yixiangzhai restaurant in the alley behind the Civil Affairs Bureau. It is hygienic and tastes good, but the price is a bit expensive.

To the north of Qinglong Road Market is Hejia Pickled Fish. The food is affordable, but the environment is noisy and hard to breathe.
