Bus | Xiamen's public transportation system is still very developed, and bus is the main mode of travel. Basically, there is a stop two or three hundred meters away. We live in Shapowei, near Xiamen University, and take bus No.1 from the railway station to Xiamen University (although we later took a taxi and took a bus to the Science and Technology Museum). All the buses in Xiamen are new and clean. One yuan on the bus, no one sells tickets. You can get on at the front door and get off at the back door. There is a discount for using e-pass card, and some buses can be paid by mobile phone.

Subway | At present, there is only one line in xiamen metro, from Xiamen North Station to Zhenhai Road. But we have a direct train to Xiamen Railway Station, so the subway can't be used. The same BRT, Airbus, didn't arrive at Xiamen University, and it was useless.

Taxi | starts at RMB 11 and comes in several colors. Xiamen is very small, so taxis are not very expensive. Generally, it is only in Xiamen Island and will not surpass 51 yuan. However, there is no taxi at all in tourist attractions, so it is better to take a taxi by Didi.
