Brush Weibo and see a local dessert "Paoluda" made by the food network "Little Brother in West Yunnan". Although the ingredients are not as rich as Qingbuliang, only sago, purple rice and fresh coconut slices are available, the top layer of dried Burmese bread that has been broken into chunks is really tempting! Finally, put aside a few ice cubes, and have a bowl when you don't want to eat in summer. It's fragrant, sweet, icy and cool!
"Paoluda" was popular in Myanmar at first, and then it was introduced to Dehong area in western Yunnan. The name "Paoluda" is said to be a transliteration of Myanmar dialect, but it is also said to be a Chinese pronunciation of local Dai language.
the standard version of "Paoluda" made by Dehong is divided into seven steps. Although I don't know whether the different feeding order will affect the taste under the premise of ensuring the complete ingredients, for the sake of conservativeness, I will share with you the following ~
materials: a fresh coconut, sago, purple rice, milk, coconut fruit, condensed milk and Myanmar bread < Open a mouth for the coconut first (haha, just kidding) and pour about one-fifth of the bowl into it.
the second step is to release sago. Because sago is not cooked well, it needs to be boiled for 15 minutes with constant stirring to prevent adhesion. When sago is cooked until there is only a little white core in the middle, turn off the fire, cover it and stew it until it is completely transparent (about 1 minutes), pass over ice water and scoop a spoonful into coconut juice.
the third step is to put purple rice. Soak the purple rice in advance and steam it for 15 minutes. If you like it sweet, add some sugar and mix well. If you don't like it too sweet, don't put it in a bowl. (PS: You can steam it in advance and put it in the refrigerator for better taste.).
the fourth step is to put coconut. Personally, I think it can actually be replaced with fresh fruit, such as mango or something.
the fifth step is to put condensed milk. This can also be adjusted according to your own sweet tolerance. If you like to eat sweet, take a spoonful, and then mix it with the ingredients in the bowl.
step 6: put the milk. Fully diluted the sweetened condensed milk and added a milky fragrance. Isn't it coconut milk when it is blended with the previous coconut juice? I decided to save the trouble of buying coconut juice and go directly to the supermarket to get a box of coconut juice.
the seventh step is to add coconut meat. The advantage of using fresh coconut is that you can harvest large tracts of coconut meat after drinking the juice. At the same time, there is a natural and simple method of coconut milk, which is coconut milk+coconut meat+sugar. After being crushed by a blender and sieved, coconut milk comes out ~
The eighth step is my favorite Burmese bread. Break it into appropriate sizes according to your own taste. If you like to eat something simple, break it into large pieces. If you like to soak it soft, break it into small pieces. Of course, you can break it again after fishing in the bowl!
If you follow the 8-step sequence, a bowl of sweet and delicious "Paoluda" will be ready ~ In Dehong area, families eat this in bowls as containers, and beverage shops usually put it in wide-mouthed cups to look good, so you can clearly see sago and purple rice inside.
Several methods of making authentic "Paoluda" on the Internet are basically the same, except that some of them also add sago, cold shrimp, papaya jelly, ice cream balls, etc. I wonder what I ate when I went to Xishuangbanna that year, and I didn't even notice such a distinctive snack. There are many Thai-Burmese supermarkets selling this kind of dried bread, but as blind as a bat, I just bought a bunch of Dongyingong soup blocks and green curry. Beat your chest! !
It is difficult to find fresh coconuts in the north, so coconut juice and milk can be replaced by boxed coconut milk, which is sold in supermarkets. The best drink is the old brand coconut tree, which is slightly sweet and has a strong coconut flavor ~
Fresh coconut meat can be replaced by roasted coconut slices or shredded coconut, and dried bread is sold online. Just search for "Myanmar dried bread".
try this simple and distinctive summer dessert at home! Delicious with a 1% success rate!
