One hour away from Xi'an, most attractions are free! This secret town in the Qinling Mountains is so amazing

This is Xiaoyu’s travel diary, stop and go, and see Xi’an with me.

Backed by the Zhongnan Mountains in the Qinling Mountains, there are so many interesting places around Xi'an, such as this treasure town that can be reached by car in an hour, and it is worth visiting again and again.

It is - Lantian Jiujianfang Town.

Nine rooms, just the name sounds like there are many stories in this town.

Some people say that Liu Xiu was chased by Wang Mang and escaped a disaster here. There were nine rooms here at that time, and Liu Xiu hid in one of them and escaped the disaster. Later, Liu Xiu conquered the country, and the "Nine Rooms" became famous; some people say that there was only one street here during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and there were only nine rooms on the street, so it got its name.

The history of Jiujianfang Town may be older than the legend. For example, the famous "Lantian ape-man skull fossil" was unearthed from Gongwangling in Jiujianfang Town. Think about it, it was already 1.1 million years ago.

Jiujianfang Town is located in the north-eastern part of Lantian County, Xi'an. It is located at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains and on both sides of the Bahe River. The Daogou Valley and Liuyu Valley of the Qinling Mountains meet here, thus forming a mountainous terrain. The undulating and well-proportioned topography also creates its beautiful scenery.

It is more than 60 kilometers away from Xi'an. It only takes 1 to 1 and a half hours to drive to this small town from downtown Xi'an by taking the provincial highway. The beautiful scenery along the mountains makes it a highly recommended self-driving route.

When we drove into Jinjiujianfang Town, the scenery outside the car window was dominated by the continuous Qinling Mountains. We only felt that everything was green, as if our breath was filled with negative oxygen ions, and we suddenly felt refreshed. Feeling refreshed.

Beautiful nature and long history make Jiujianfang Town unique in all seasons, and most of the attractions here are free and open, including the original ecological Qinling Secret Land and A national museum.

In the hot summer, the thousand-acre lotus pond in Jiujianfang Town is at its most beautiful. Although the area is not as large as "thousand acres", it has a unique artistic conception relying on the sea of ??flowers in the Qinling Mountains.

The "Sea of ??Buckwheat Flowers" in Yukou Village is a beautiful scene comparable to that seen in Hayao Miyazaki's summer comics. The entire flower sea covers an area of ??more than 500 acres and is located halfway up the Qinling Mountains. The clean, pure and fresh scenery of the surrounding mountains and terraced rice fields allowed us to take many beautiful photos.

In addition, there are the alpine meadows of Liuyusi Village and the Liuyu Feixia Scenic Area, both of which are worth visiting. The former is a rare alpine meadow in Xi'an, surrounded by the Qinling Mountains and full of cattle and sheep. The latter is a landscape of mountains and rivers. Come to see the mountains and water in the summer, and see the snow and ice in the winter.

If spring comes, you can go to Tonghuagou. Especially when the rapeseed flowers are in bloom, the uneven terrain here is like an oil paint plate on the earth.

In addition to the mountains and rivers, there is also the former residence of Comrade Wang Feng and the Lantian Ape Man Site Museum. The former residence of Comrade Wang Feng is a red scenic spot. It is not big, but it is very educational. Not to mention the Lantian Ape Man Site Museum, where you can see the secrets of human origins, especially suitable for visiting and learning with children.

Among the above-mentioned attractions, except for Liuyu Fei Gorge, which requires the purchase of tickets, the other attractions are all free (ps. Wang Feng’s Former Residence and Lantian Ape Man Site Museum require ID cards to visit). In addition, Lam Tin itself is also well-known as the "Hometown of Chefs". It is also great to come here to try Lam Tin delicacies.

It’s only an hour’s drive from Xi’an, and most attractions are free. Aren’t you ready to come and see this secret little town in the Qinling Mountains?
