Wuyishan Road Community, formerly known as Haonantou Village, is located in the administrative and commercial center of Qingdao Development Zone. Because the village was built in the south end of Majiahao (Mahao Canal) during the reign of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, it was named Nantou.

On March 28th, 1985, when Qingdao Development Zone was established, Haonantou Village was transferred from Xuejia Island Town to the original development zone. In 1989, it was renamed Wuyishan Road Neighborhood Committee. In 1996, when Changjiang Road Sub-district Office was established, it was transferred to the jurisdiction of Changjiang Road Street.
