As the saying goes, contentment is always happy, which means that people should not blindly pursue unrealistic dreams, so as not to generate resentment. In the Journey to the West, Tang Priest, his disciples and others went all the way through eighty-one difficult, and finally arrived at the Western Heaven Lingshan, where they obtained the true scriptures, which can be regarded as a complete merit.

The Tathagata Buddha personally rewarded his master and disciples for their merits, and eventually they all ranked above the Lingshan Mountain, so they were rewarded as they deserved.

Friends who know about the Journey to the West must know that when the Tathagata conferred titles on several disciples, there was a small detail, that is, Pig Bajie was very unconvinced and even questioned the Tathagata Buddha on the spot. In the hundredth reply of the original work, Pig Bajie said, They are all Buddhas, so how can I be a clean altar messenger?

This question is very interesting, because only Zhu Bajie himself is dissatisfied with the canonized position, and several others are happy to accept it! Facing the Tathagata Buddha with such a high status, why did Pig Bajie say such a thing? Let's explore it together today! What is a net altar messenger

This net altar messenger belongs to the sequence of bodhisattvas. Although it has not reached the level of Buddha, it can be regarded as a decent official position. And the Tathagata Buddha described the position of the messenger of the net altar like this: because you are strong and careless, you eat a lot of intestines. Covering four continents in the world, there are many people who pay tribute to my teachings. It is a useful grade to teach you how to clean the altar in all Buddhist affairs.

from this description, we can probably understand that the main job of the net altar messenger is to digest all the Buddhist offerings in the three realms!

From this point of view, this position is extremely suitable for pig Bajie, who is greedy and can eat. From a certain point of view, this can be regarded as the Buddha's preference for pig Bajie! In that case, why should Pig Bajie be dissatisfied? Pig Bajie is no longer greedy

In fact, Pig Bajie changed after he became a Buddha and detached himself. In the ninety-ninth episode of the original book, the villagers in Chenjiazhuang specially put out a banquet to entertain the master and the disciples in order to thank the Tang Priest and others. At this banquet, the master and the disciples seemed to have no appetite, and even the most delicious pig Bajie did not move chopsticks.

all these changes are due to the detachment of master and apprentice! There is evidence in the original text, and in the ninety-ninth chapter, it was written as follows: I have received the immortal food from the Buddha, and I have taken off my mortal womb to become a Buddha, and I have no idea about worldly food. It turns out that Pig Bajie is no longer a gluttonous pig who used to eat. Because he became a Buddha, he has lost interest in human fireworks and can't eat too much food.

From this point of view, Pig Bajie is no longer suitable for the post of the messenger of the altar. At the same time, such a food-eating position also makes Pig Bajie feel disgraced, so he said such a thing! The last net altar messenger was the Golden Winged Dapeng Carving

Besides the changes of Pig Bajie, the last net altar messenger also made Pig Bajie unhappy.

The last net altar messenger was the Dapeng Carving with Golden Wings. On the way to learn from the Buddhist scriptures, Tang Priests, apprentices and others came to Lion Camel Ridge, where they met an unprecedented enemy, that is, the Three Demons of Lion Camel Ridge, one of which is the Golden Winged Dapeng Carving. It is said that this Golden Winged Dapeng Carving is not only powerful, but also makes the Monkey King unable to parry at all, and even this background identity is very prominent. It turns out that this Golden Winged Dapeng Carving can be regarded as the Tathagata's uncle!

This left the Monkey King with no solution at the moment, so he had to run to Lingshan and ask the Tathagata Buddha for help. In the seventy-seventh episode of the original work, the Tathagata came down to the earth to prepare for the golden-winged Dapeng sculpture, and said: I am in charge of four continents, and countless people believe in Buddhism. Whenever there are good things, I will let you taste these tributes first.

It seems that the Tathagata Buddha can't hurt his uncle easily, and he can't do it hard. He can only rely on this condition to find a golden-winged Dapeng carving! It can also be seen that this golden-winged Dapeng carving was the last messenger of the net altar, because the description in the original text in this time is basically the same as that when the pig was canonized.

However, through comparison, we can find that the treatment of Pig Eight Rings and the treatment of Golden Winged Dapeng Carving are just a heaven and an earth!

Because the Tathagata Buddha used a prefix when he promised the Golden Winged Dapeng Carving, it shows that the Golden Winged Dapeng Carving ate first-hand ingredients, whereas Pig Bajie didn't get this kind of treatment, because this tribute was first eaten by all the immortals in Lingshan, and the last ones were eaten by the altar-cleaning messengers, which is actually a job of cleaning leftovers!

In this contrast, Zhu Bajie is definitely not satisfied, because the Tathagata Buddha is a typical abuse of power, taking care of his relatives, and it is inevitable that some people will not be convinced.

At the same time, before he was demoted to the mortal world, Pig Bajie was a canopy marshal in the heaven, holding 1, Tianhe Water Army, which can be said to be in power, and his status and treatment can be said to be excellent. Now, after becoming a Buddha, he has lost a job of cleaning leftovers, so Pig Bajie will not be convinced! Pig Bajie himself is a greedy figure

Apart from the two reasons mentioned above, Pig Bajie's own personality also plays a decisive role.

In the Journey to the West, Zhu Bajie has always been the representative of "greed". Being drunk and flirting with Chang 'e in Antian Congress is a sign of coveting beauty. In Monkey King Thrice Defeats the Skeleton Demon, I was confused by Bai Gujing's varied food with a cover-up, which is a sign of craving for food.

In the 28th episode of the original work, Pig Bajie went out to beg alms alone, but he dozed off halfway because of fatigue, which eventually led to the capture of Tang Priest. This is a sign of craving for enjoyment.

Therefore, all these manifestations are the author's vivid characterization of pig, pig, pig, pig and snake swallowing elephant. Therefore, when accepting the conferment of Buddha as Tathagata, there was a certain gap in my heart because the Monkey King and Tang Priest were conferred as Buddha successively. Personally, I think that I have paid a lot along the way to learn Buddhist scriptures in the Western Heaven, and I should not only be conferred the position of a bodhisattva.

So, it is this greed that makes Pig Bajie unable to control his behavior, and he is questioned and unconvinced when facing the Tathagata Buddha!

By analyzing this little detail in Journey to the West, it will definitely arouse our * * *. Because in real life, there are many "pig eight quit" encounters. Faced with unattainable dreams and unattainable goals, people are desperate to catch up and even pay the price of their lives. This is indeed a life attitude worthy of our respect!

However, when pursuing our dreams, we should take a clear look at the current situation. Assessing the situation is a necessary ability for all successful people, so be content and don't put too much psychological burden on yourself. There are many kinds of successes, and it is a success in life to gain a calm mind!
