In recent years, Butterfly Valley has been heated up. Looking at the photos of thousands of butterflies parked in trees on the Internet, I came up with the idea of visiting Butterfly Valley. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, I went to Jinping without hesitation, but because of the long distance and inconvenient transportation, I gave up going to Butterfly Valley and only played near Jinping County.
Jinping County is one of the six counties in Honghe Prefecture, bordering Vietnam. It is surrounded by mountains and waters, with warm and humid climate and abundant rain. People wearing Miao, Yi, Hani and Dai costumes can be seen everywhere in the street. It is said that there is another ethnic minority "Mang" in Jinping County (now classified as Bulang), who hunt for a living in mountainous areas.
The annual autumnal equinox is the New Rice Festival of the local Hani people. They kill pigs and sheep and celebrate the harvest with a sumptuous dinner. Under the gaze of everyone, the host brought out steamed rice from the rice recovered from the field in the morning, and the fragrance suddenly swept the audience. Everyone can't wait to pick up chopsticks and prepare for dinner.
Everyone knows Yuanyang Terrace, but seldom heard of Jinping Terrace. In fact, Jinping terraces are equally beautiful, but they are not packaged and promoted, so few people know about them.
Around the Mid-Autumn Festival is the best time to harvest rice. A group of simple farmers are working in the sun in the terraced fields along the road. Women cut rice, men thresh grain and children herd cattle. Clear division of labor. To my surprise, the local people still use irrigation buckets to thresh grain. If you have forgotten the way farmers worked decades ago and want to experience the most primitive rural life, you might as well come here.
Speaking of the beautiful and rich Guo Huashan in The Journey to the West. There is an artificial Guo Huashan in Jinping, which is just a short walk up at the crossroads. There are many camellia trees planted on the mountain, and there are more than a dozen flaming trees. White camellia is dotted with red flaming flowers, which is also a beautiful oil painting. Climbing to the top of the mountain, I broke out in a sweat, and the county seat at the foot of the mountain was unobstructed. Sitting under the gazebo and letting the autumn wind blow on my face and body, I suddenly felt refreshed and refreshed.
Yongping Waterfall is a 40-minute drive from Jinping County, and it is also one of the more famous waterfalls in the local area. In addition to trees and rocks, there are some plants that are unheard of and unseen in big cities, which gives people the illusion of entering the virgin forest.
After seeing the waterfall, I went to the farmer's house to bake dragonfly fish and bacon, and then I ate cold cucumber. That's delicious.
When you return to the city in the evening, you can have a tender tilapia hot pot or a small mongla drum with half mushroom and half cabbage stuffing. As for the Dai hand-grabbed rice, you have to go to rice or mongla to get it.
This little roll is a bit like rice noodles in Guangdong Province. There are two options for dipping in water: sweet and sour and hot and sour. Thin rice noodles are wrapped in full stuffing, which makes people drool.
After a sumptuous dinner, I lay in bed admiring the beautiful photos of the day, recalling the bits and pieces of my journey, and before I knew it, it was time to go to bed, thus ending a full and interesting day. Travel can not only fill the gaps in life, but also broaden our horizons. Why not?
