It is located in Jing'an District, Shanghai, adjacent to ***hexin Road to the west and Luochuan East Road to the south. It reaches Pingxingguan Road in the east and Yanchang Road in the north. On March 20, the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Song Jiaoren was assassinated in Shanghai and died on the 22nd. The coffin was moved to the Hunan Guild Hall on March 23 and buried in Xiangyi Lane, Zhabei, Jing'an District on June 26. The Kuomintang allocated more than 100 acres of land here, of which 43 acres were used for the cemetery. The Song Dynasty Tomb is in the center of the garden. It is a rectangular red brick building about 2 meters high and surrounded by trees. It is commonly known as Song Park. In September of the 18th year of the Republic of China, the 132nd municipal meeting of the Shanghai Special Municipal Government decided to allocate funds to repair Song Garden and open it as a park. It was renamed Jiaoren Park on June 5, 1935, and reopened on November 18 after comprehensive renovations. On May 28, 1950, it was renamed Zhabei Park. The park has grown in size over the decades. During the expansion in 1959, new garden gates, pavilions, corridors, teahouses, exhibition halls, etc. were built with a total investment of 1.21 billion yuan. From 1962 to 1964, an ice rink, cruise ship dock, and reading room were built successively. From 1979 to 1981, 960,000 yuan was invested to expand again, with planning and greening design by Xie Jiafen of the Shanghai Garden Administration Design Office, construction by the Shanghai Garden Engineering Company, reconstruction of the gate, and a new sales department, stone bridge, waterside pavilion, double pavilion, and hexagonal pavilion. , garden corridors, revetments and other facilities, and the tomb of Song Jiaoren was restored as it was. From 1985 to 1990, the promenade, publicity gallery, Three Ponds Reflecting the Moon, and the flower bed at the gate were built.
