The special food snacks in Haicheng are: Nanguo pear, Gengzhuang garlic, Haicheng pie, small white pastry and so on.
1. Nanguo pear
Nanguo pear, commonly known as Anguo pear, belongs to Qiuzi pear system and is a specialty of Haicheng. The fruit weighs about 5g, up to 2g, with delicate pulp, extra juice, sweet and sour taste and strong aroma.
2. Gengzhuang Garlic
Gengzhuang Garlic is characterized by its purple color, large and even petals, 4-6 petals per head, about 5g garlic weight, thick skin and strong storage resistance.
3. Haicheng Pie
Haicheng Pie is made of warm water and flour, and pigs and beef are selected as mandarin duck stuffing. Take more than ten kinds of spices and cook them, and take juice stuffing to cultivate their taste.
4. Xiaobaipi Crisp
Xiaobaipi Crisp was introduced to Haicheng in the second year of Qing Daoguang (1822) and continues to this day. This kind of pastry is crispy on the surface of the water and filled with stuffing, which belongs to seasonal production varieties.
