"Hanlin Chicken" is one of a series of Taibai dishes cooked at Taibai Restaurant in Anlu City, Northern Chu. The name of this dish comes from the fact that Li Bai served as a Hanlin official.

According to relevant historical records, Li Bai was always fond of wine and food, and his favorite food was chicken, duck, goose, fish and vegetable and fruit dishes. He also ate beef and mutton, but not pork.
