1. Choose black as the poster background. Usually, we are used to designing posters on white canvas.

2. Simplicity and simplicity are beautiful. Young designers are often keen on filling every corner of the canvas.

But you don’t have to do this, simple artwork is often the most beautiful.

Use this method to refine and streamline your poster, using only the most critical elements and content to create an elegant and sophisticated graphic design.

3. Add personalized fonts. Professional design is not limited to regular fonts and neat layouts.

Try using fonts that are full of personality and rebelliousness, and you’ll end up with a piece as individual and bold as the poster above (made by FAUPE).

If you have the time, grab a marker or any other writing instrument you like and write what you want to give your poster a handwritten grunge look.

Trust me, your handwriting is a lot more interesting than you think.

4. Use Grids Grids are one of the most useful tools you can use to create professional and neat designs.

Create your own poster grid to control the design, and you can create professionally designed pieces like the example above.

Once you've designed a grid as a solid foundation, use different font sizes and some simple design elements.

You can use a single color or complementary shades to create color contrast, as in the example above.

5. Try black and white photos. Are you still confused about which photo to use on your poster?

Make it black and white.

This effective method produces elegant posters (like the one above by Studio Sgustok).

When you're working with photos for posters, think carefully about how you're going to crop them.

The parts you decide to cut out will convey just as much information to the viewer as the parts you decide to leave behind.

6. Use minimal colors. Complex poster tones require you to spend a lot of time deciding how to use and match these colors, and how to apply them to the work.

This is especially troublesome for those new to design.

If you're new to color and design, try to keep the colors in your palette to a minimum without overburdening yourself.

Try a combination of black, white and a bright color.

Use a bright color as your main color, white as your secondary color, and black as your accent color, like in the example above.

7. Cut out the complex and keep it simple. Follow the example of Lucas D_rre in the picture above and do your best to make everything as simple as possible.

Make sure your photos are of the highest quality and formatted accurately and skillfully.

Don’t get hung up on adding fancy embellishments, just start with the basics.

Don’t get stuck thinking about adding some design elements to your poster.

Keeping the content as basic as possible is an effective way to create beautiful work.

8. Collage and layer design elements and creative color masks, or collage design elements to increase the visual interest of the poster.
