Last night, I watched Jurassic World 2, which was equally wonderful. Apart from some deeper things, this is a movie worth seeing just from the visual experience.
The plot of the film begins with the last film.
The dinosaur theme park in Nabral Island suffered heavy losses due to the appearance of Tyrannosaurus Rex. After the park was closed, the dinosaurs on the island were left unattended and left to fend for themselves.
Three years later, people monitored that the dormant volcano on the island was extremely active and was about to erupt, which triggered a debate about humanitarianism and respect for the laws of nature. Claire used to be a worker in the dinosaur theme park. She set up an organization to protect dinosaurs and ran around trying to save the dinosaurs on the island.
The court ruled that the dinosaurs were allowed to die out again due to natural disasters. At this time, Lockwood, a wealthy businessman, found Claire and said that he had set up a "dinosaur rescue team" to send the endangered dinosaurs on the island to a safe place to survive. Claire did not hesitate to join in and pulled in her ex-boyfriend Owen, Raptor Blue's trainer.
When the group arrived at the island, Owen quickly found the blue color through the positioning chip, and then the plot appeared. Lockwood's agent, Mills, didn't really want to help dinosaurs. He just went to great lengths to auction off the dinosaurs on the island. Claire and Owen were tricked into going to the island to catch Blue the Raptor.
Owen was knocked down by an anesthetic needle, Claire and the talented "technical" man were trapped in a carnivorous dragon, and Blue was killed and bled to death. At this time, the volcanic eruption began. The "Dragon Hunting Team" ship is about to leave the island, and a series of accidents follow. The protagonists and dinosaurs staged a wonderful "great escape".
I thought the film was the climax here, but later I found that the great escape on the island was just the beginning. After a rush, the protagonists caught up with the spaceship at the last second, and the battlefield shifted from the island to Lockwood Manor. There is a dinosaur auction in full swing. Rich businessmen all over the world rushed to buy dinosaurs for various reasons. Mills snickered at the constantly scrolling numbers (money) on the computer screen.
At this point, the hero and heroine are trapped in the prison and flirt with the lovely "wall-hitting dragon". I finally escaped, just in time for Mills to show the auctioneers the new Tyrannosaurus Raptor developed by Dr. Wu (the developer of the first Tyrannosaurus Rex). A so-called contest between good and evil, a thrilling escape from the secret room, staged one after another.
The story of "Jurassic World 2" is not particularly novel, not even as impressive as the first one (or maybe the audience's appetite became a little embarrassed after watching 1). What impressed me was the director's handling and control of the details.
Before the release, the trailer mentioned that the director spent a lot of money to make a dinosaur model in order to make it realistic. Before filming, the leading actors said in an interview that it was "very pleasant surprise" to see such a realistic model for the first time.
In addition to the realistic model reference, the later details are also carefully handled everywhere.
When the volcano erupted on the island, the dinosaurs fled, but they could not escape the hot magma of the volcanic rocks. When the ship left the island, a brachiosaurus stood helplessly on the shore, watching the only way out. It was swallowed up by volcanic ash, and its wailing not only infected the actors, but also infected every audience.
The performance of Bruce Raptor in the first film is deeply rooted in people's hearts, and the second film still appears as a rescuer. Its interaction with Owen is really touching. That feeling is like "shovel officer" and his pet dog. It's not just a feeding relationship, but more like a friend.
There is also a scene where a young leader who likes to pull out dinosaur teeth as a necklace knocks out a tyrannical raptor with one shot. He proudly opened the cage, took out big pliers and pulled out its teeth. Don't you know that it didn't faint at all, but pretended to faint and waited for its prey to take the bait? Just as the little leader pulled out his tooth, he lay motionless, but his tail flicked secretly, his mouth rose, his eyes opened slightly, and he smiled mysteriously, making the viewer's back cold.
At the end of the film, the cloned girl mercy opens the emergency exit and releases all the dinosaurs. Blue heard Owen's kindness to him. Owen said, "Come with me, girl, and I'll take you to a safe place." Blue looked at the cage, looked disgusted, wagged his tail and ran away.
No matter whether the story is good or bad, the director controls and handles these details very well. Even if a film with more special effects than the real scene is made, it will not give the audience a false feeling at all. This is very precious.
When watching movies, many of them are girls. It's not that girls are braver than boys nowadays, but that Jurassic World 2, including the first bloody movie, is not pure terror and violence. On the contrary, many humorous plots are added to the film, which makes the audience nervous and relaxed at the same time.
Genius "technology" young men are afraid of Tyrannosaurus Rex, and veterinary women are three points better than men. Owen and Claire argued about who dumped who first. "Head against the dragon" hit the post and I don't know which direction to go. The little girl mercy just ignored the beautiful Claire next to her and wouldn't give up. These plots form a humorous net, allowing the audience to watch the movie in two hours with ease and excitement.
In a word, I think it's a wonderful movie and it's worth going to the cinema after work. There is nothing to see at the end of the movie, but you can watch it without watching it.
