The clinical evaluation of sulforaphane is mainly carried out by using broccoli and broccoli bud plant preparations rich in sulforaphane or its precursor form (a stable β -glucosinolate called sulforaphane).
We conducted a series of clinical trials in Qidong, China, where there were a lot of carcinogens exposed to food and air, to evaluate the applicability of broccoli bud beverage rich in sulforaphane or sulforaphane or both, and to obtain its bioavailability, tolerance and pharmacodynamic behavior in crowd intervention.
The results of these clinical trials show that the intervention of broccoli bud preparation can enhance the detoxification of aflatoxin and air toxin, thus reducing the health risks of exposed people, including cancer.
