The variety shapes of canavalia can be divided into circular (the width of the bean is not more than 1.5 times the thickness) and flat (the width of the bean is more than 1.5 times the thickness). According to different colors, there are two kinds of sword beans: cyan and waxy yellow (which can be called golden yellow or yellow). From the shape, there are the following types: a, the whole; B, slice, including longitudinal slice and French style (longitudinal slice or slice with an angle of 45 degrees or less); C, section, not shorter than 2mm cross-sectional section, allowed with shorter end pieces caused by cutting; D, short section, more than 75% of the transverse section length is shorter than 2mm；; E, oblique section, which is about 45 from the longitudinal direction.
