Liedang was born in a typical coniferous forest soil. Rodent is parasitic on the roots of Alnus, and often grows in rock crevices or steep slopes with its host, so it is barren-tolerant. It grows in alder shrub or green moss sphagnum and larch forest on both sides of the stream and in the catchment area on the concave slope of the mountain, and the root of the ground surface of alder or water melon alder in Northeast China. It mainly grows in the plateau near the main roots of Populus davidiana, where the soil is loose and well drained, and the soil humidity is about 25% ~ 50%, but it does not grow in the low-concave and easy-to-accumulate area. It can be seen that Orphan likes the humid air environment, but requires loose and cold soil.
