Guo Xiang, also known as Chuanxiong, Xiongxian, Huxian, Ma Xian and Xiongxian, is a perennial herb of Ligusticum in Umbelliferae. Amomum tsaoko is a perennial herb of Zingiberaceae and Amomum.
2, the appearance is different
Guo Xiang is 40-60 cm high. The rhizome is developed, forming an irregular nodular fist-shaped lump, which is a traditional Chinese medicine plant; But Amomum tsao-ko is a clump of stems, up to 3 meters high. The whole plant is fragrant and pungent, with round or rectangular leaves, tapering at the top, narrowing at the base, dry film at the edge, smooth and hairless at both sides, full tongue tip, blunt and round at the top, unbranched spikes, with up to 30 flowers per inflorescence.

Aromatic fruits are only used for medicine, while tsaoko can be used not only for medicine, but also for cooking dishes, which can remove the fishy smell and enhance the taste of dishes.
