Resume is a self-promotion tool and a personal advertisement, which is used to show your work skills and your value to future employers. The main purpose is to help you get an interview. So what you need to present on your resume is mainly work experience+performance achievements.
First, introduce yourself.
It is the part placed at the beginning of the resume, including some basic personal information and self-description. Many people ignore the content of self-introduction, either a few simple strokes or a long speech. I believe everyone knows how to fill in the basic information, and the key is how to write the self-description.
We can start from two aspects: professional ability and personal advantage.
Professional ability should be based on the ability of the position you want to apply for, such as the operation of the application content, which requires you to have good writing ability, so it is very useful for you to have personal "writing ability" such as publishing some articles from the media or submitting some large manuscripts. You can put the job link directly in your resume. Individuals pick out some good quality works in the past and put them in Tencent documents or graphite documents to generate a QR code or link for the interviewer to read directly.
What if there is no job? Or the position you are applying for doesn't need to look at previous works. You can write personal advantages directly, without writing this.
In terms of personal advantages, it depends on whether you are applying for a basic position or a management position with a team. There are three basic general abilities in the workplace that you need to highlight, namely, communication ability, cooperation ability and learning ability. Because no matter what position you hold, being able to communicate and cooperate with departments or departments is the most basic ability requirement, and you should know that in the workplace, it is normal that no one teaches and no one cares. The boss hired you to work, not to study, so you must have the ability to learn quickly and the willingness to learn independently.
If you are applying for a management position, or you are willing to go in the direction of a management position, you need to highlight on your resume the characteristics of actively summing up experience and guiding other members of the team to learn together.
Second, work experience
Many people can't write their work experience well, or their writing style is unattractive, and they can't attract HR for a few seconds, just because their work experience is not well written. I obviously did this project, and I personally went through the process, just writing it on my resume to make the other person feel dispensable.
When sorting out your past work experience, I suggest that you summarize your past work into separate projects according to time or content. You can refer to two principles, one is the star principle; One is the MECE principle.
1, star principle
The STAR principle is actually the abbreviation of situation, task, action and result. Specifically: what kind of scene, what tools or methods to do what work, and what kind of effect to achieve in the end.
Scene: The scene where something happened
Task: The specific task you have to undertake in it.
Action: How or how?
Results: What kind of results have been produced?
You should summarize your past work experience into independent projects, and sort them out according to project description, project responsibilities, specific work actions and completed data indicators.
But it should be noted that after all, we have done different projects at work, and of course it is impossible to put them all on our resumes. What kind of work experience should I choose?
This leads to the second principle.
2.MECE principle
Mece (Mutually Exclusive IV Collective Exhaustive) means "mutually independent and completely exhausted" in Chinese.
When selecting project experience, we should choose different types, which are important, large in volume and good in data effect. When writing the project realization, we should show the differences of each project, focusing on the key actions and the final data growth effect.
For example, the following are the requirements for a new media operation position I found online.
Direct employment of the boss
For this position, you can write the project experience like this:
Project 1: WeChat official account operation
Project introduction: independently responsible for the content operation of the official account of XX WeChat, and independently planning and writing original content for the popularity, reading volume and customer acquisition of the official account of WeChat, including but not limited to planning the original content of the official account of WeChat in combination with hot spots; According to the product content and user needs, independently write a copy that conforms to the tonality of WeChat official account; Enrich the official WeChat account with different content forms, including graphic, video and animation.
Project results: After X years of operation, the number of fans of official WeChat account has increased from XXX to XXX, the average reading of headline articles is XXX, and the article opening rate is XXX.
Project 2: Video and Tik Tok Operation.
Project introduction: In order to enhance the brand image and win customers, we independently plan the video script, write the original video copy, coordinate the video shooting team to complete the video shooting and editing, and finally update synchronously on different platforms. Study the operation rules and logic of video platform, formulate and implement content scheduling strategy, communicate with production and research departments, align product information, and update product shelf information regularly.
Project results: After X years of operation, the number of fans of Tik Tok/ Video increased from XXX to XXX, and it was broadcasted X times, becoming a single X, and the transaction amount was RMB XXX.
The above is just an example. The project experience you write needs to include the requirements in the position JD, and the content can be many, so that the interviewer has the impression of "you have done it before" at a glance, and then he wants to talk to you in detail.
Pay attention to some of my brave words.
If this project is your own work, such as the operation of WeChat official account, writing, typesetting and doing activities are all your own, then you are independent and responsible, so you should concentrate; If a project needs the cooperation of several departments, you should clearly distinguish who is in charge and what role you play in the project. If the project is large enough and the effect is dazzling, it is suggested to write active participation and active cooperation.
Third, matters needing attention
1. Really, don't pretend.
Needless to say, especially when I went to a big factory for an interview, my resume was reversed. Can you know for yourself?
Don't fake your education. This is a very serious integrity problem. Once discovered, you don't even have to pay compensation as long as the company wants to let you go.
Don't experience fraud. Don't write anything you haven't done on your resume, such as never working in this company, but writing about the work experience of this company; You didn't do this project, but you wrote that you are the person in charge of this project. You don't know who knows who in your circle.
Many students who have just graduated for a year or two have changed four or five jobs for a year or two because of their unclear career plans or impulsiveness, and each one has only worked for a few months. What should I do? After all, no company will like employees who change jobs frequently and are not stable enough. Personally, I suggest that you can only write one or two articles for more than 6 months, and don't write the rest. As for the incomplete timeline, you can say that you have been looking for a job or have something at home. If HR sticks to this timeline, it can only show that they don't want you, so hurry up and find the next job.
2. Find the same JD from a big factory for reference.
This is to extract the professional keywords you need for this position and then use them on your resume. The project description should avoid colloquialism and try to use professional words in the industry to describe it.
Your resume must be concise.
You can directly use Zhilian recruitment and BOSS's own resume template, and there are also many good templates in WPS documents. If you just graduated without any work experience, you can use a resume template with left and right typesetting; If you have long working hours and more project experience, you can use the template with upper and lower structure.
4. Resume title
Because you can upload your own PDF resume directly in the background of the recruitment platform, it is best to give your resume a name, such as job application+name. If the email is sent separately, the title can also be position+name+phone number.
