Prepare materials.

Prepare a bag needle (this kind of needle is used to thread the linen and is available at the hardware store. If you can’t buy it, you can use an acne needle instead).

Wash the rice.

Cut off the front part of the leaves, boil water in a pot, blanch the leaves, pour out the hot water and cold water, and prepare to wrap.

Put three leaves together and roll them into a funnel shape.

Put in rice and a candied date.

Pull down the top leaves and cover the rice.

Pull off the leaves and wrap them around from the bottom.

Go to the top. If there are gaps at both ends, cover the two ends with leaves.

Wrap another leaf on the side.

Circle again from the bottom.

Pick up the needle, pass it through the zongzi, and pass the tail of the leaf through the eye of the needle.

Bring the leaf to the opposite side.

After wrapping, add water and astragalus into the pot and simmer for 2 hours.
