In this paper, the efficacy of Sargentodoxa, Patrinia scabiosaefolia and Hedysarum septemlobata was investigated.

① Hongteng: Its functions are clearing away heat and toxic materials, promoting blood circulation and relieving pain, expelling wind and dredging collaterals. Indications: intestinal carbuncle, abdominal pain, carbuncle swelling and sore poison; Trauma, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, postpartum stasis; Rheumatoid pain.

(2) Patrinia scabiosa: Its effects are clearing away heat and toxic materials, eliminating carbuncle and expelling pus, removing blood stasis and relieving pain. Indications: intestinal carbuncle, liver carbuncle, lung carbuncle, carbuncle swelling and sore poison; Blood stasis chest pain abdominal pain, blood stasis postpartum abdominal pain.

(3) Rhizoma Paridis: Its effects are clearing away heat and toxic materials, cooling liver, relieving convulsion, reducing swelling and relieving pain. Indications: carbuncle, swelling, sore and snake bite; A convulsive child; Trauma and swelling; Traumatic bleeding.

④ Belamcanda: Its efficacy is clearing away heat and toxic materials, resolving phlegm and relieving sore throat, dispersing stagnation and reducing swelling. Indications for sore throat (especially for phlegm and blood stasis caused by heat); Excessive phlegm and cough; Chronic malaria, amenorrhea, carbuncle, scrofula, abscess.

⑤ Lobelia chinensis: Its efficacy is clearing away heat and toxic materials, promoting diuresis and reducing swelling. Indications: snake bite, bee and scorpion sting; Abdominal edema, dysuria, jaundice and oliguria.
