To set up an aquarium device:
1) Prepare coral
2) The proposed location and aquarium
3) Installation of biological filtration system
4) Adding bottom sand and decoration
5) Filters such as heating and air pump motor are not prepared.
6) Lighting equipment
7) Prepare aquaculture water
8) Start-up and final test
9) culture biological filter bed
These steps are not immutable, but they are practical.
Prepare coral
Decorative coral is a part of coral reef rocks composed of tens of millions of coelenterate bones. Because when you buy these corals, they are already dead, so you must make sure that no other creatures live on them before you can put them in the aquarium. The first step in building an aquarium is to prepare corals, but it takes a long time to determine whether all corals have been cleaned. There are two ways to clean corals:
(1) soak the coral in a household bleach solution (4.5 liters or 1 gallon of water plus 2 cups of bleach) for a week or two. In the second week, soak in clear water until the smell left by bleach completely disappears. Coral has many complicated surfaces and must be cleaned repeatedly. This method is widely used, but sometimes the smell of bleach can't be removed after cleaning. At this time, the coral can be washed with flowing clean water for 48 hours, which can completely eliminate the abnormality.
(2) Boil the coral for more than one hour, then rinse it thoroughly with water pipe to remove impurities, soak it in clear water for one night, then rinse it with water pipe, and finally expose it to the sun for a few days before use.
The location and aquarium to be built
It is best to install the aquarium near the power socket and easily accessible. This is not only for the convenience of installation, but also for regular maintenance in the future. Then lay a piece of soft plastic or other suitable gasket, such as styrofoam board, so that the aquarium can be placed firmly on it.
Remove obstacles near the aquarium. Before installation, make sure you have enough air ducts and transmission lines, and connect bifurcated pipes, air regulating valves and power sockets. Above or below the aquarium, install a shelf for placing external equipment, which can put all the sundries in it to facilitate your future work.
The new fish tank must not leak. If you are a little skeptical, you can do an experiment outdoors first. If you find a leaking place, you can repair it with silicone adhesive, but it must also be done outdoors, because silicone adhesive will volatilize and be harmful to human body. After all the leaks are solved, wash off the excess silica gel with salt water and clean the entire aquarium and glass partition.
Then, the power cord and air regulating valve can be correctly installed and arranged outside the aquarium (but not immediately). If the aquarium is against the wall, you can stick a background board on the glass behind the aquarium to prevent the color of the wall from penetrating through the glass and damaging the landscape. If there is a room behind the aquarium, it can also be covered with fake sea views or corals. With the spotlight, you can gain the illusion of enlargement and "deepen" the audience. Of course, there is no need to stick a background board on the back.
Installation of biological filtration system
Before laying the bottom layer, install the biological filtration system to ensure that the filter bottom plate completely covers the bottom of the pool and the air can be completely unblocked everywhere. Basically, water must flow evenly on the bottom plate, and it is also necessary to ensure that the periphery of the filter bottom plate is seamless. If cracks are found, they must be bonded with special aquarium cement. After using the adhesive, you must wait for 24 hours to ensure that it really sticks, and then you can continue the following work.
Make sure that the ventilation standpipe is connected. The air pipes of some pneumatic filters must be correctly connected to the air lift pipe, and they must not be wrongly connected or loosened, because these pipes will be covered under the bottom layer in the future and it is difficult to touch them again, and the other end of the pipes will be connected to the external plastic pipe.
If the dynamic biological filter is used, the bulky motor head should not be directly connected to the top of the return pipe, which will cause inconvenience in maintenance, more likely to fall and break the decoration in the water, and even cause greater damage to the aquarium. Similarly, if a "reverse flow" filtration system is used, it is necessary to connect the water flow pipe with power conversion to the bottom of the end return pipe and ask the supplier about the connection methods of various pipes.
Add bottom layer and decoration
Before installing the bottom layer, it is necessary to determine whether the materials used have been thoroughly cleaned, especially when broken coral or coral sand is used as the bottom layer material, because dead organic matter may remain on these materials. Soak these substances in clear water for a period of time, and at the same time, you can use this time to clean stones or decorations.
Spread these rough bottom media evenly on the filter bottom plate about 5 ~ 7.5 cm (2 ~ 3 inches), add a layer of fine plastic mesh to prevent loosening, and then spread fine coral sand on it. The function of the fine net is not only to prevent the fish from scratching, but also to prevent them from accidentally sinking. Gradually increase the gravel thickness of about 5 cm (2 inches) at the back and place pebbles under the slope. Don't run out of rocks and corals until all the "technical equipment" is in place.
Heating and pumping motors and other water filtration equipment
It is best to install automatic temperature control components at both ends of the aquarium (separate heaters are also suitable). Ensure that the assembly is installed vertically and understand that it is designed to be completely or partially submerged in water. In addition, the heater must be placed outside the stone particles, and the long parts can be placed obliquely near the back box plate. All kinds of equipment must be fixed with plastic clips. Connect the pipes according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer, and fix the pipes neatly on the wire harness. Cover all connections with hollow plastic pipes, and finally connect the thermometer; Do not use the floating thermometer before filling it with water, but you can stick the liquid crystal display thermometer outside the box wall at any time.
The ideal way to release the air pumped by the air pump motor into the aquarium is to install the motor on the side wall of the water surface in the cylinder to prevent the power supply from being damaged due to the backward flow of water in the cylinder or the air pump motor from stopping working for other reasons. Another method, that is, installing a "one-way" regulating valve on the air pipeline, can also play the same role, and users can place the motor anywhere according to their own needs.
A long gas stone is placed behind the aquarium, with sand or coral as the cover. The air pipeline of the gas stone is connected to an air valve of the air pump motor, and the pipeline is buried under the stone particles. Because these gas stones need to be replaced frequently, it is best to put them in a place where they are easy to get. A filter material is installed in the water body of the water filter, and an external filter or ultraviolet germicidal lamp can be installed under the aquarium or hung on the back wall. In order to pull all kinds of pipes out of the aquarium, a small opening can be made in the top cover, and the water flowing back to the aquarium can be dispersed by the shunt pipe, so as to avoid large water flow from impacting the decorations in the aquarium, and at the same time, carbon dioxide can be diffused, which is beneficial to the freshness of water quality.
In addition, the protein separator can be installed in an aquarium, and the glass cover should have a cut-off part to replace the collection cup on the protein separator. If an ozone machine is used, the ozone should be delivered directly to the protein separator, but never to the exhaust pipe of the biological filter, and like the air motor, the water in the aquarium should not be poured back to the ozone machine.
Connect the power supply pipe to the external electric filter, heater, ultraviolet germicidal lamp and ozone machine. Ultraviolet germicidal lamps and ozone machines do not need to be used immediately, so I can't answer them for the time being.
According to the direction of water flow through the filter, connect the external electric filter (for reverse water flow) or the motor head of the filter (downward water flow) to the riser of the biological filter. Finally, add the needed coral or stone particles, and cover all the hardware equipment in the aquarium with these ornaments. But be careful not to block the current. Remember that too much decoration will reduce the space for fish to move, and it is more likely to block the line of sight of the breeder and make the trapped fish unable to find it. The lighting equipment of the aquarium has at least the following functions:
It can be used as lighting equipment for aquarium, contact medium for plant photosynthesis, catalyst for bacterial decomposition, energy source for animal metabolism and one of the heat sources for aquarium. Therefore, the lighting of the aquarium is the life source of the aquarium, which is not only related to the balance of the whole ecology, but also related to whether marine fish and other invertebrates can show their natural primary colors. Therefore, when installing, you must choose lamps specially made for aquarium lighting. Although the price is slightly higher, it is essential to use one, which is the key to the success of the aquarium.
When using waterproof facilities and installing lighting lamps on the top cover, be careful not to affect the top cover or fall on the glass cover.
The starter connected to the fluorescent lamp is very heavy, which may affect the stress balance of the top cover, especially when several lamps are used at the same time, it is best to install the starter in another place.
Ensure that the top cover is well ventilated, so that the hot air of the light can completely diffuse into the water body of the aquarium and discharge the carbon dioxide generated in the aquarium. Tight glass cover can not only reduce water loss due to evaporation, but also prevent fish from jumping out. You can also set a chandelier 30 cm above the open aquarium, with no cover at the top, but the light projected by the chandelier should be evenly dispersed to avoid only illuminating a certain part of the aquarium.
In addition, the plug of the lamp must also be connected to the wiring harness.
Prepare aquaculture water
Now we will face the problem of how to distribute artificial seawater. Obviously, if it is the first time to use a new aquarium, it is quite easy to distribute water after installing decorations and hardware equipment. Gently inject the prepared artificial seawater into the aquarium to avoid washing away all kinds of decorations and bottom layers. The best way is to temporarily put a large flat plate in the box or use a lid to let the water flow in indirectly, so as not to cause a strong impact. Continue to drain until the fish tank is full.
No matter what method is used to prepare seawater, the specific gravity of seawater obtained in the initial test is not the correct value. Only when the temperature reaches a certain standard, the filtration system starts to operate and the salt has been fully mixed can the correct and stable value be measured.
Start-up and final test
At this time, the pipes of the external filter and the ultraviolet germicidal lamp are filled with water. This is a simple step. Just open the return pipe connected to the aquarium to suck water. After each system is filled with water, connect the return pipe and make sure that each pipe is connected.
Take a power cord from the tube harness, connect it to a suitable tubular plug, and plug the plug into the power supply.
Adjust the air flow on each air valve to start the biological filter and gas stone, and the water will flow out from the power supply connected to the riser. Check whether the amount of water flowing out of the external filter is sufficient. If there is an air lock button on the system, gently shake the filter to vent the trapped air.
The temperature reading can tell us whether the heating device is working properly. When the temperature rises to the preset reading-about 24 degrees, the specific gravity of water can be measured by a hydrometer. (The hydrometer can use a durable colloidal shaking needle, which is very convenient to use, but it must be tapped gently to disperse the air bubbles in the middle to avoid inaccurate reading. If the specific gravity is too low, it is necessary to add artificial sea salt, and then measure it after a period of water circulation, and measure the specific gravity continuously until it reaches the standard; On the contrary, take out a part of seawater and add a part of fresh water to reduce it. If necessary, repeat these steps to make the specific gravity of water reach a certain standard.
Culture biological filter bed
After the aquarium is installed, it will take some time to cultivate nitrifying bacteria. When bacteria steadily increase and play a role, ammonia and nitrite will gradually decrease. It takes a long time for the filter bed to mature, at least two weeks or even more than a month, depending on the filter material to be propagated. In addition, there are some methods to accelerate ripening, but all of them are quantitative supply of nitrogen fertilizer compounds as the "energy" of this system.
When cultivating nitrifying bacteria, you can put some good aquarium sand or add the cultured nitrifying bacteria stock solution. In addition, you can put some food scraps to make them rot, or put one or two robust fish to provide the required organic waste. Of course, it is ideal to choose several methods and use them in combination.
The maturity of nitrifying bacteria can be known by measuring the ratio of ammonia to nitrite with test reagents. In the first few days, the reading of nitrite will rise, but after reaching the maximum value, it will fall back to a minimum value, preferably to 0 or less. 1 mg/L, it is safe to supplement some fish at this time, but it cannot be stocked in sufficient quantities. In any case, the biological filter can't deal with ammonia and nitrite produced by a large number of fish, and the function of the filter can be gradually exerted by gradually increasing the number of fish in the future.
Preparation of artificial seawater
1. False artificial seawater
Most marine fish farmers can't directly enjoy natural seawater at home, but using natural seawater to raise fish may not be a feasible way to solve various problems. After all, seawater is not easy to obtain, and it is not necessarily safe to use. Fortunately, synthetic seawater can completely replace natural seawater, even safer; All you have to do is buy back a pack of artificial seawater salt that you need "just add water". However, the water in the tank is always polluted by feed and excrement, so farmers must regularly mix synthetic seawater for replacement. In addition, there are all kinds of equipment for you to check the water quality in the tank-this is a work that can not be ignored in raising marine fish and invertebrates.
Cultivating marine fish is a new fashion. There are still many related problems unsolved, which makes many people afraid to try this hobby that they think they can't do well. In fact, the main problem lies in the maintenance of water quality. One of the main indicators of the success of water treatment system and aquaculture is: to what extent can you control the inevitable changes in the ocean ... you will know that water is the last link of aquaculture, as simple as that.
2. Natural seawater
7 1% of the earth's surface is covered by seawater. You may think that seawater is the easiest thing to get and it is very convenient to use. However, based on these seawater, it is not suitable for an aquarium.
For most farmers, even if their residence is not far from the seaside, it is totally unrealistic to go to the seaside regularly and transport a lot of seawater back. In addition, not all marine fish farmers live in tropical areas, so the temperature of local seawater is obviously too low for tropical species. However, if these low-temperature seawater is heated to meet the needs of tropical fish, the plankton in it may die and cause pollution, or multiply rapidly and reduce the dissolved oxygen in the water. Of course, if the local fish are only raised in proper seawater and then taken care of, it may achieve better results.
Another difficulty to consider is whether we can find unpolluted natural seawater. From the busy sea traffic and a large number of industrial emissions, it is obvious that at least the seawater on the shore is not completely pure.
To sum up, unless you raise local fish and live near the sea, you don't need to use natural seawater to make trouble.
3. Synthetic seawater
The best way to supply aquarium seawater is to use carefully prepared sea salt, so that synthetic seawater very similar to natural seawater can be obtained. When using this sea salt, we must strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions. Although in the past, farmers had to use up a whole bag of sea salt at a time in order to balance all kinds of salt, at present, high-quality sea salt is mixed evenly and completely, so you can use it several times with confidence. However, after each use right, the remaining sea salt must be sealed and stored in a cool and dry place to prevent sea salt from getting wet and affecting the calculation of the next use, such as the amount of sea salt needed for daily water change.
Preparation of synthetic seawater
Synthesize seawater first and then put it in the aquarium, so that the water can be used as soon as it is loaded. The step of synthesizing seawater are as follow:
1) At present, it is more and more common for water plants around the world to disinfect tap water with chlorine. Therefore, before adding sea salt to tap water, it is necessary to use chlorine remover or stronger aeration to remove residual chlorine in water. However, once sea salt is added, it is not so easy to remove chlorine, because chlorine remover has no effect in seawater. In addition, before adding sea salt, the ammonia detector can be used to check whether there is chlorine ammonia, and then the chlorine ammonia remover can be used to remove chlorine ammonia and some ammonia. After the continuous cropping of aquarium, if you want to supplement the evaporated water with tap water, you can also use this method to remove chlorine and ammonia.
2) When mixing seawater for the first time, you can use the aquarium as a container. But when you want to change water in the future, you must use glass, plastic or other non-metallic containers to mix. (If plastic containers are used, it is best to use polyethylene and polypropylene containers specially used for curing food and holding food, instead of garbage cans made of recycled materials. The latter may release toxins into the water for a long time. Draw a horizontal line outside the container to indicate the amount of water needed, such as 50 liters, which can save a lot of time.
3) It is best to prepare synthetic seawater 24 ~ 48 hours before use and aerate it according to the manufacturer's instructions. Some mixtures must be aerated for several hours before use.
4) Before checking the specific gravity, the motor, gas stone and filter must be turned on to make the water temperature reach the appropriate temperature. If the specific gravity is too low, add sea salt; Otherwise, add water.
5) Once the equipment in the aquarium is complete, it is not easy to measure the actual water quantity in the aquarium. Therefore, in the installation process, it is necessary to measure the water consumption first and make records for future reference. For example, maybe one day, this record will help you know how many drugs to use to treat fish.
proportion
Specific gravity is the quotient of the density of any liquid divided by the density of distilled water (its density is equal to 1). Seawater is dense and contains many minerals, so its specific gravity is greater than 1. The amount of all dissolved solids in quantitative water can also be expressed by the word salinity, that is, grams per liter.
The salinity of seawater varies from region to region. For example, the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea are not affected by tides and have high evaporation rates, so the salinity is higher than that in the open sea. In addition, the salinity of the western Pacific near the Caribbean Sea is not low, and the salt in the Dead Sea is of course the highest in the world. No fish can survive in such sea water.
The salinity/specific gravity of water has a very important influence on the fish living in it, which also causes the basic biological differences between freshwater fish and marine fish.
In the waters where freshwater fish live, the proportion of water quality is lower than that of body fluids. Because of the osmotic principle, water will be absorbed into the body, so freshwater fish must constantly drain water to avoid bursting. However, marine fish are facing the opposite problem. Their body water will be continuously lost to the external environment, so they must take in a lot of water and discharge too much salt. Therefore, the use of1.020 ~1.021which is slightly lower than that of natural seawater can alleviate the urgency of water loss of marine fish.
Evaporation is the biggest factor that causes the change of specific gravity. What is lost in the evaporation process is only pure water, so only clean fresh water is needed to supplement it, and artificial sea salt is not needed. In order to prevent the rapid evaporation of water, a glass can be installed above the aquarium to reduce the evaporation of water.
phvalueofinnercoolingwater
The pH value is used to measure the pH value of water quality, and its value is expressed in an exponential way. PH below 7 is acidic and above 7 is alkaline. The pH value of seawater is higher than that of fresh water, ranging from 7.9 to 8.3. When the pH value drops, it means that the buffering capacity of seawater is declining, so when the pH value drops by 20%, seawater should be replaced immediately. Replacing a part of water regularly can promote the stability of seawater pH value, that is, reduce the concentration of nitrate in water, especially in aquarium lacking efficient filtration system.
Water quality maintenance
It is very important and necessary for all fish farmers to regularly test the water quality. Marine fish have poor tolerance to bad water quality and sudden environmental changes. When changing water quality or environment, it should be changed as slowly as possible to avoid fish rush, especially when introducing new fish, which often leads to rapid new fish ... A seawater aquarium is like an indoor microcosm of the ocean, just like a freshwater aquarium is a part of a river or lake. However, the seawater aquarium is not as stable as the ocean, and it must be managed by some technologies to increase the success rate. In addition to regularly testing pH value and specific gravity, we should also try to do some water quality testing to keep the aquarium in the most suitable water quality conditions. Once the aquarium begins to be inhabited by creatures, these residents will produce waste through breathing, digestion and natural death. The main waste components are ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, which will cause different degrees of toxicity to fish and invertebrates. We can test the water quality by some testing reagents, and judge the condition of the filtration system and the best water change time through the test results.
We can know the condition of the aquarium by using the test agent, but we must ensure that the measured value is correct, otherwise we will make an incorrect judgment because of the wrong data.
The copper test agent in the test agent series can determine the copper content in water. When dealing with aquarium fish diseases, copper-based compound drugs are often used, which greatly increases the copper content in aquarium. Because the concentration of copper ion is too high, it will cause biological death in water, so the most correct dose must be put in order to achieve the maximum curative effect. We can control the best dosage by copper test agent to avoid the death of fish due to treatment. Therefore, with the development of aquarium technology, we can manage our seawater aquarium more easily and confidently.
Selection, Combination and Feeding of Marine Ornamental Fish
When you have prepared an aquarium suitable for cultivating marine ornamental fish, and the water quality is maintained at a standard suitable for farming, the next thing is to put the fish in the aquarium. What kind of fish would you choose? Is it a brightly colored fish or a beautiful fish?
How to choose fish:
(1) Choose to buy lively and harmless fish.
Pay attention to observe whether the fish body is injured and whether the fins are damaged, especially the caudal fin and spine. It doesn't matter if it's just a minor injury to the tip of the fin.
(2) Choose lively and healthy fish.
Fish's health, swimming posture, movement, color and markings are the key to fish selection, so we should observe more. Healthy marine fish can swim freely in the aquarium, and can swim quickly when the environment changes or is frightened. Fish that are short of breath, slow to respond, always stop near the air circulation opening and open their mouths quickly, or fish that hide in the corner of the aquarium and don't swim are unhealthy fish. If the fish is hiding in the corner and has short breath, it is probably suffering from ascariasis; Fish with cloudy eyes and prominent eyeballs may have swollen eyes; White spots are easy to see. Don't buy sick fish. Lean fish, fish that lack healthy luster, fish that often rub rough surfaces such as coral reefs, fish with scales falling off, fish with obvious diseased spots and fish that do not respond to feeding cannot be purchased. In addition, don't buy fish that have just been caught, and don't buy marine fish that haven't been shipped for a long time.
(3) Don't buy fish that are too big or too small.
Fish that are too big are often difficult to adapt to new environmental changes and often refuse to eat. If the bait doesn't work, they will die. Too small fish should be fed more than once a day, and they will die easily if they have no time to take care of them.
In addition, it is best for beginners to choose young fish when buying fish, and fish with good appetite is preferred when choosing fish. At the same time, choose the corresponding fish according to the size of the aquarium.
The method of combining fish:
You can see all kinds of fish from all over the world in the sea fish shop. Some of these marine fish live in certain areas, but they can also be kept in the same aquarium. Because the water quality of coral reefs around the world is not much different.
Understand the combination fish with reasonable living habits before breeding. The habits of fish vary from species to species, and even the same kind of fish should pay attention to collocation. A big fish and a small fish are together, and the big fish will hurt the small fish. Another example is that there are about 10 striped butterfly fish in the aquarium, so there is no territorial competition. If you put it in twice, you will start fighting. In the end, it was only about 10. There are swordfish. If you keep two, you can shoot one, and kill or injure one. If you want to keep more than two in the same aquarium, you must put decorative stones and corals in the aquarium for hiding. These are all considerations when buying fish. Fish habits should be taken into account when combining fish.
Hybrid and combination
The so-called polyculture means raising more than two marine fish in the same aquarium. It is our common wish to decorate the aquarium into a small world that blends all kinds of oceans, but it often backfires. If carnivorous fish and small fish are mixed together, small fish will become the food of the former. In addition, in an aquarium with limited space, it is often a struggle to raise fish with strong sense of farm at the same time.
People want to put fish with different colors, shapes and movements together to make the aquarium more beautiful.
Avoid putting snapper or smaller fish with big fish specialized in eat small fish, such as grouper, giant salamander and upside-down fish;
Wolfed fish and chewed fish should be avoided together, so as to avoid some fish not eating bait when feeding;
Fish with special feeding habits, especially corals, sponges or plankton, must be raised separately, and it is easy to cause problems when they are raised together with other fish;
It is best to put several fish into the fish tank at the same time. If you only put 1 one at a time, start small and put the big ones in order. Because the fish put in first are arrogant, especially butterfly fish and angelfish;
When adding new fish, observe for half an hour. If there are overbearing fish attacking other fish, you can move the stones, corals and other decorations in the aquarium to change the original layout; Bait is also a way to distract them. If not, you have to isolate the fish for 20 ~ 30 minutes (isolation method: you can hang it in the water with plastic blue mesh or move it into a bucket of human water). Use this 30 minutes to change the position of the decorations, and then move the fish back, so that the fish think that they are in a new environment and gradually calm down. )
Marine fish should not put two or three kinds of fish together, such as angelfish, butterfly fish and snapper. If two or three kinds of fish are put together, they will fight with each other. On the contrary, when the number reaches a certain level, they will live in peace.
Fish farming quantity:
According to people's practical culture experience, an aquarium with water temperature below 25 degrees Celsius can raise 10 liter of seawater/0/3 cm long fish, and an aquarium with 10 meter can raise 14 fish at most; If it is 6 cm long, it is 7; Only 1 fish can be put above 30cm. Above 25 degrees, the number of fish released should be reduced. When the temperature is 30 degrees, the number of fish will decrease 1/2.
The correct way to put fish:
Fish can't be taken out of the plastic bag and put into the aquarium after being bought. Before you put it in the aquarium, you should do the following things:
Soak the plastic bag containing fish in the aquarium for 30 minutes until the water temperature in the bag is the same as that in the aquarium;
Take out the plastic bag, open the seal, add a few spoonfuls of aquarium seawater into the bag, put the gas stone in it or fill it with oxygen for about 30 minutes. The purpose is to make the water quality in the bag consistent with that in the aquarium, so that fish can adapt to it when put into the aquarium;
Take out the fish in a plastic basket with mesh and immerse it in fresh water (the temperature and pH of this fresh water must be exactly the same as that of the aquarium). Soak 1 ~ 5 minutes, butterfly fish 1 ~ 3 minutes; Angel fish, upside-down fish and cannonball fish need 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the size of the fish. Finally, take the fish out of the net basket and put it in the fish tank. This can prevent the new fish from infecting the fish in the original aquarium. This step can reduce the infectivity by about 80%. Note: Don't pour foreign water into your fish tank.
Before putting the fish in, be sure to turn off the lights in the fish tank to avoid the new fish being scared by the change of environment or attacked by other fish.
Bait training
There are three kinds of bait: raw bait, frozen bait and artificial dry bait. Raw bait is mainly used for training bait and should be avoided for a long time. There are mainly clams, small fish, fish eggs and shrimp eggs; Frozen bait refers to the frozen product of raw bait, which is also used as bait culture, and long-term feeding should also be avoided; Artificial dry bait is prepared according to the nutrients and vitamins needed by marine fish. There are flake bait, small particle bait, Antarctic shrimp, large fish basic bait, dried shrimp, seaweed and so on.
How to tame the bait: after putting the fish you just bought into the fish tank, you can artificially feed the bait for 4 ~ 5 days. If fish refuse to eat, clams or frozen shrimps can be mixed with artificial dry bait and fed. At this time, most marine fish will start eating. Then gradually reduce the amount of raw bait or frozen bait, and increase the amount of artificial dry bait until the fish eat artificial dry bait.
Some newly bought fish don't eat, probably because of environmental changes and field disputes, which makes the fish lack the mood and time to eat. Especially the fish raised later are often bullied by the fish raised first, so they refuse to join the club. When this situation lasts for more than a week, the fish may die. In this case, you can move it to another aquarium or try to change the layout of the original aquarium.
The most difficult fish to tame are some butterfly fish (which feed on coral fish). For these fish, clams can be chopped, mixed with thin bait, and dried in the sun at harvest to form minced meat. Then put the minced meat on the decorative coral reef and put it in the fish tank, and the fish began to eat.
Some fish have special feeding habits, which will also bring difficulties to your culture. For example, the Atlantic angelfish that eats parasites and the butterfly fish that eats corals can adapt to the living conditions in the aquarium if they are raised from larvae.
Matters needing attention during feeding
The principle of baiting is not to throw too many baits at once. The best way is to feed the fish 2 ~ 3 times a day, and pay attention to the eating situation of the fish when feeding. Generally, according to the nature and species of fish, the amount eaten in a few minutes can be given. In addition, it is not allowed to feed the same bait for a long time, and it is best to mix 2 ~ 3 kinds of bait. Whether it is raw bait or frozen bait, it is one of the reasons for the deterioration of water quality, so the leftover bait in the aquarium should be removed.
