What kind of fish is Pseudostellaria heterophylla?
Pseudostellaria orientalis is a striped nine-spined bass. Fake oriental star spot is often used by merchants to fake this kind of fish, and its scientific name is nine-spined bass with tail stripes. The caudal fin of Lateolabrax japonicus has two pale oblique bands with many pale spots between them, and the outer side of the oblique bands is red with white edges. There is no such pale oblique band at the tail of the East Star Spot.
