In the original story, after Ip Man defeated San Pu, the Japanese military opened fire, and Li Zhao tilted his gun, but Ip Man didn't die. Then Li Zhao picked it up and shot the Japanese officer. After shooting the officer, the crowd saw Li Zhao holding a gun and thought it was Li Zhao's gun. Then the masses came forward and killed Li Zhao alive.
