Involucre cylindrical, cylindrical bell-shaped, bell-shaped or broadly cylindrical. The involucre has 3-4 layers, the outer and outermost layers are short, the tip is sharp, the inner and innermost layers are long, and there is no comb appendage or comb appendage at the outer tip. Receptacle flat, honeycomb, without stipules. Tongue floret bisexual, yellow, 1 layer, tongue tip truncated, 5 teeth; Style branches are thin, and anther base appendages are arrow-shaped. Achenes are spindle-shaped, narrow upward, with constrictions near the top, beakless at the top, and beaked at the top. 10- 15 elliptical longitudinal edges with different thicknesses. The crown hair is white, less gray, 1-2 layers. Simple or rough, easy to fall off or not, sometimes the base is connected into a circle and falls off as a whole.
All belong to about 40 species, mainly distributed in China. According to records, there are 37 species in China, and now there are 3 1 species. There are a few species in Japan, Korea, Mongolia and Russia (Siberia and the Far East).
