Zhenxiong County is the most populous county in Yunnan Province and a county with a population of one million in China. It is rich in natural resources. Historically, it shared the reputation of "Golden Tengyue and Silver Town" together with Tengchong in western Yunnan.
The main specialty foods are: potatoes (potatoes, either grilled or fried), rice with rice (corn), bacon, noodles, oily residue, picked ears, pickled cabbage and red bean soup (similar to the Northeastern ones) Sauerkraut has a different taste), konjac, tofu (all natural and pollution-free, without any added coloring), stinky tofu (delicious whether grilled over charcoal or vegetable oil or fried), mutton rice noodles, beef rice noodles, sauerkraut and pig trotters, etc. They are all local specialties (snacks) of Zhenxiong.
