Bermuda grass, also known as dog claw bean, belongs to Chenopodium of Leguminosae and is an annual herb vine.

Dog beans are also called Chenopodium beans, cat beans, dog claw beans, dragon claw beans, raccoon beans, tiger beans and so on. Its stem will be wrapped around other plants or objects. Its branches have a little hair, pinnate compound leaves and three leaflets, 6 ~ 15cm long and 4 ~ 10cm wide. The outer color of the pod is dark grass green, covered with fine gray pilose.

Generally, it is more common in southern areas such as Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hainan and Yunnan, and it is not suitable for planting in the north. Pods, leaves, vines and seeds of dog beans can be used as roughage for livestock.

Main applications

Edible method

Stir-fried dog bone beans with ginger: cook dog bone beans in boiling water, cool them, soak them in cold water for 24 hours, and peel them after soaking. Chop ginger and fermented beans, and slice fat. Saute ginger slices and fermented beans in an oil pan, pour the processed dog beans into the pan and stir-fry until they are medium-cooked, add half a bowl of water to stew, and serve after cooking.

Stir-fry dog beans: shred all dog beans, pickled ginger and pickled pepper. Put oil in the pot, heat it, add all kinds of cut ingredients and stir well, then add salt and season with monosodium glutamate.
