Chrysanthemums do not wither even in the frost, bloom despite the cold, and have a fragrant smell. They are a good product for longevity. Therefore, whenever the chrysanthemums are in bud, people pick the buds, leaves and stems, mix them with millet and brew them, and wait until September 9th of the following year to open the jar for drinking. No matter the clan nobles or high-ranking officials and merchants, everyone likes it.

7. In the Tang Dynasty, the names of Double Ninth Cake became more numerous. According to books such as "Liu Dian of the Tang Dynasty" and "Recipe" of the Tang Dynasty, the Double Ninth Festival in the Tang Dynasty included Magerne Cake, Rice Brocade Cake and Chrysanthemum Cake. , "Wenchang Miscellaneous Records" said: "In the Tang Dynasty, there are dogwood wine and chrysanthemum cake on September 9th." Dogwood can "remove bad odors and protect against the early cold." Obviously, wearing dogwood and drinking chrysanthemum wine have become important festival customs in the Tang Dynasty.
