"World" refers to time and boundary refers to space. Time and space merge, so it is called the world.
"Ultimate Bliss" is the Chinese name of the Sanskrit "Sumati". Or translated as Anyang, Anle, Qingtai, etc. Although the names are different, they all have the ultimate meaning. "Essential Interpretation" refers to the paradise world: "It is the first and most peaceful place to be free from all sufferings." The sufferings include the eight sufferings of birth, old age, illness, death, resentment, separation from love, failure to seek, and the five yin raging. . Saha has these eight kinds of suffering, but the ultimate happiness will be gone forever. A person who is at ease is peaceful and peaceful without any hidden worries. Paradise is the first place of peace. "Xizhai Pure Land Poems" says: "The first-class solemn temples in the ten directions are finally said to be different places in the west." This is why.
You must know that all Buddha lands have four types: the first is the Land of Eternal Silence, which is where all Buddhas live; the second is the Land of Actual Retribution Ornament, where the forty-one Dharmakaya Bodhisattva lives. ; The third is the land where expediency exists, which is where the sravakas and pratyekabuddhas live; the fourth is the land where ordinary saints live together. The ordinary refers to ordinary people in the six realms, and the holy refers to saints such as Buddha, Bodhisattva, Pratyekabuddha, and Sravaka. The saints should transform into the world and live in the same land with ordinary people, so it is called the land where ordinary saints live together. There are two kinds of soil where all saints live together: one is filthy and the other is pure. The Saha world is a filthy land where ordinary saints live together. The five turbidities in this land are heavy with filth and impurity, filling the body and mind inside and outside. It is a filthy land where ordinary saints live together; the Land of Ultimate Bliss is a pure land where ordinary saints live together. The land is inconceivably pure and sublime. Under the courtyard, the green stream flows gently. In front of the palace, the jasmine grass blows fine fragrance. The pond contains eight virtues. Flowers emit four rays. The heavenly music is filled with joy at six o'clock. Flowers are spread across hundreds of millions of lands. All the Buddhas protect their thoughts. , Praise from the world of the ten directions, the four treasure lotuses are entrusted, and there will never be any retreat. All the good people will gather together in one place. Such pure and wonderful solemnity cannot be described in detail. Therefore, ordinary saints live together in the Pure Land.
In addition, among the Buddha lands in the ten directions, the four lands are separated and hindered, and the people living in the same lands do not know the affairs of the three lands above. In the Land of Ultimate Bliss, the four lands are harmonious and harmonious. The Pure Land of cohabitation also leads to the three upper lands of convenience, actual reward, and tranquil light. "Shu Chao" says: "According to the circumstances, what you see is also different. Some people live together and see the land of tranquility. Some people live together and see the land of real rewards. Some people live together and see the earth of convenience. Some people live together and see the earth." "Explanation of Essentials" " said: "Today's Paradise World refers to the pure land where all saints live together, that is, the three pure lands above." What the two masters said means the same thing. And what does "Yao Jie" say: "Today's Paradise of Paradise refers to the pure land where ordinary saints live together"? The situations described in this Sutra of Liang Yin are all the situations in which ordinary beings and saints live together in the Pure Land. That’s why we often talk about the “Ultimate World”. It mainly refers to the land where mortals and saints live together in the Paradise of Paradise.
Also, the bliss of Saha, the three bodies and the four earths, must be divided into horizontal and vertical aspects. If you are in Saha, you must make an argument. Those who make an argument will stop seeing thoughts and confusions, and then leave the common dwelling and enter the expedient. Cutting off the confusion of dust and sand, you will emerge from the expedient and enter into the actual reward. At this time, the Buddha's Sambhogakaya can be seen, one level of ignorance is broken, and one part of the Dharmakaya is seen. The ignorance is cut off, and the entire Dharmakaya of the Buddha is seen. Therefore, the shallowness and depth of sentient beings' ability to eliminate confusion are also different, and the Buddha's body they see is also different. If you are in bliss, you need to discuss it horizontally. In terms of horizontal theory, if you live together without moving, you can transcend the upper three lands. It is said that if you see that all thoughts are gone, if you live together without moving, you will see convenience. The dust and sand are cut off, ignorance is eradicated, and when we live together without moving, we will see the actual reward, and we will also be able to see the Buddha's Sambhogakaya. Ignorance is cut off, the light of silence is fully revealed, and the Buddha's whole Dharma body and ears can be seen without moving. Therefore, Master Lianchi said: "According to the circumstances, what you see will also be different." This is exactly what it means. This is the difference between Bliss Saha.
From the above conclusion, we can see that there are two ways in which the Land of Ultimate Bliss, a land where ordinary saints cohabit, is different from the land where ordinary saints cohabit in the worlds of Buddhas in the ten directions: first, the Land of Ultimate Bliss is a pure land where ordinary saints cohabit; The world is a filthy land where saints and mortals live together. Second, in the Pure Land, ordinary saints live together in the Pure Land, covering the three Pure Lands. Therefore, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and other good people in this land will all live together in the Pure Land. As a result, ordinary people and saints in the Ultimate Bliss are not separated from each other, and they are always in the same place. And among the Buddha lands in the ten directions, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas live in the upper three pure lands. When all living beings are familiar with each other, they will live together in the lower lands to educate and transform all living beings. When fate is over, they return to the upper three realms, so ordinary people and saints become inseparable and become strangers. For example, the Buddha in the Saha world lived for eighty years. After the fate of all living beings is over, the Buddha will return to the land of eternal tranquility. During this time, 5.76 billion years would pass before Maitreya Bodhisattva would be born in this dirty land and become a Buddha. Therefore, the Buddha in the dirty land is like a short-lived flower in the pan, and it is difficult for all living beings to see him. When sentient beings in the Land of Ultimate Bliss see the Buddha, they can see it as soon as they want, and can see it at any time.
Therefore, we know that the Land of Ultimate Bliss is different from the Buddha lands in the ten directions. It refers to the pure land where ordinary saints live together, not the three upper lands.
Buddhist terminology. Also known as Pure Land and Lebang. The ideal world without suffering that Buddhists believe in is compared to the "filthy land" where all living beings live. The idea of ??the Pure Land originated very early, and has its origins in some sects of Brahmanism and Theravada Buddhism. In Brahmanism, the Pure Land is the heavenly realm where Vishnu resides. Some lay people groups in Theravada Buddhism already believe in pure land rebirth. But as a systematic school of thought, it was in the period of Mahayana Buddhism. The Mahayana "Maitreya Sutra" mentions the Tusita Heaven Pure Land; the "Wonderful Dharma Lotus Sutra" mentions the Lingshan Pure Land; the "Huayan Sutra" mentions the Lotus Hidden World; Go to the Lapis Pure Land; the Tathagata's Pure Land of Wonderful Joy is mentioned in the Mahayana Sutra; the Tantric Pure Land is mentioned in the Mahayana Tantra Sutra, etc. The Infinite Life Sutra, the Infinite Life Sutra, the Amitabha Sutra, etc. describe the Pure Land of Amitabha in detail, and the Pure Land Sect was established based on the ideas of the above sutras. This sect believes that as long as people chant the Buddha's name and practice contemplation, they can be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss when their life ends. The leader of the Paradise is Amitabha. Amitabha Pure Land, Maitreya Pure Land and Medicine Master Pure Land are the three pure lands believed by Chinese Buddhists.
Buddhism believes that time has no beginning or end, space is boundless, and Buddha lands (worlds) are endless. In each Buddha land, there is a Buddha there to teach and transform all living beings. Paradise is one of these endless worlds. The Amitabha Sutra says that the Land of Ultimate Bliss is "ten thousand billions of Buddha lands" away from the "Saha World" where people live. In this paradise world, immeasurable merits and virtues are adorned, there are countless voice-hearers and bodhisattvas in the country, lecture halls, monasteries, palaces, pavilions, precious trees, precious ponds, etc. are all decorated with seven treasures, subtle and pure, and all kinds of food and drink are available naturally. There are thousands of kinds of music performed, all of which are Dharma sounds. The people of his country are intelligent and handsome. But if you enjoy all kinds of happiness without suffering, you can all move toward the Buddha's true path.
The "Amitabha Sutra" says that if a good man or good woman hears the name of Amitabha and upholds the name of Amitabha, and can keep his mind undisturbed from one day to seven days, this person's mind will not be disturbed when he dies, that is, Be reborn in the Western Paradise.
