Trade name white fruit, ginkgo. The one with large and uniform, full seed kernel and white and yellow shell color is preferred.

Prescription name white fruit, white fruit kernel, steamed white fruit, fried white fruit, cooked white fruit and so on.

Writing white fruit in the prescription refers to raw white fruit kernel. For the original herb to remove the shell and the kernel outside the thin coat, pounded into the medicine.

The steamed white fruit is pure white fruit kernel steamed and crushed into medicine.

Steamed white fruit for the net white fruit kernel with the fire fried to dark yellow, slightly scorched, mashed into the medicine. Cooked white fruit is steamed, boiled, simmered, fried white fruit collectively.

Sweet, slightly astringent, flat. There is a small poison. Attributed to the lung and spleen meridians.

Effects include astringing the lungs to stop coughing and asthma, strengthening the spleen to stop astringency and stopping the band. It can be used to treat coughing, gas reversal, phlegm; leucorrhea, and leucorrhoea.

Use Yew 6~12 grams.

Discreetly coughing phlegm thick spitting unfavorable people should not be taken. Not suitable for large doses of raw, otherwise easy to cause poisoning.
