How many kinds of food additives are allowed in China?
In order to strengthen the management of feed additives, the Ministry of Agriculture published the Catalogue of Feed Additives Permitted in China on July 26th (AnnouncementNo.: 1999). 105 of the Ministry of Agriculture). This catalogue contains 173 feed additives, including 7 feed-grade amino acids, 26 feed-grade vitamins, 43 feed-grade minerals and trace elements, 12 feed-grade enzyme preparations, 12 feed-grade microbial additives, 9 feed-grade non-protein nitrogen and 4 antioxidants. There are 6 kinds of flavors and fragrances, 3 kinds of binders, anti-caking agents and stabilizers 10, and others10, as shown in Table 24.
