Anemarrhena rhizome is used as medicine. Under natural conditions, Anemarrhena asphodeloides is distributed in Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Henan, Shandong and other provinces, and the medicinal materials are mainly produced in Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and other places. Anemarrhena asphodeloides has low requirements on soil, and humus loam and sandy loam with loose, fertile and well-drained soil are suitable for cultivation. In shady slope, clay land and low-lying land, the growth is poor and the root system is perishable.
