Except for foul play, the height of each jump in the high jump competition is the valid score. A contestant shall be guilty of a foul if he/she: 1) jumps with both feet; 2) fails to stay on the bar rest due to the athlete's attempt to jump; 3) touches the ground or landing area other than the vertical plane of the front of the column before crossing the bar, but shall not be judged to have failed in that attempt if, in the opinion of the referee, the athlete has not benefited from it; 4) delays the time limit for no apparent reason; 5) fails to reach the height of his/her jump when notified by the referee of the start of the athlete's attempt. The athlete decides to waive the jump only after the referee has informed the athlete that the trial has begun, when the time limit has elapsed, and the trial shall be judged to have failed; 6. The athlete intentionally uses his hands or fingers to put back the bar that is about to fall from the bar rest when he is trying to jump; 7. Missing the order of that trial for no apparent reason.
The high jump crossbar can be made of fiberglass, metal or other suitable materials, with a length of 3.98~4.02 meters and a maximum weight of 2 kilograms. The high jump landing area should be at least 5 meters long and 3 meters wide, and the runway should be an unlimited length, with a minimum of 15 meters. If conditions permit, it should be no shorter than 20 meters in a fan shape. High jump frame should be sufficient height, shall be equipped with a stable placement of the crossbar crossbar bracket, the distance between the two columns for 4-4.04 meters.
