Koi varieties include: Clothes Koi, Gold Koi, Patterned Leather Light Koi, Gold and Silver Scale and Variant Koi.
1, clothes koi
Clothes koi (Koromo) is the favorite species of many fish enthusiasts, Koromo means "wearing a burka", the red pattern of this category is covered by other darker colors, forming a dark and unclear outline. The red pattern of this species is covered by other, darker colors to form an obscure outline.
The koi are unassuming as juveniles, but as adults, their elegance rivals that of the red and white. Very few of them show very good, mature patterns as juveniles, and if they do, the black pattern overdevelops during subsequent growth to the point where the whole pattern becomes incongruous.
2. Gold Koi
The Hikari in gold koi (Hikarimono Ogon) means metallic and the mono means monochromatic, so the gold is a monochromatic koi with a highly metallic sheen, usually silver or gold, contrasting sharply with other varieties. For this reason, fish enthusiasts will keep at least one gold in their tank/pond.
3. Hikarimoyo-mono
Hikarimoyo-mono are koi that have a metallic sheen and are more than one color, and are generally classified as Hikarimoyo-mono, with the exception of the Washi Koi strain.
This type of koi has a good shine and a wide variety of colors, so it is easy to be attracted to it at first glance, and koi enthusiasts, especially those who are new to fishkeeping, tend to be attracted to young koi of this type because of their colorfulness.
4. Kinginrin
Kinginrin, which literally means "gold and silver scales" in Roman, refers to the color effects of the scales, such as the golden sheen of the red spots and the silvery sheen on the white or black.
In fact, it is more attractive to have only some of the scales metallic than all of them. A koi may have many scales with luster, but if there are fewer than 20 scales with luster they cannot be called gold or silver scales.
5. Variety Koi
Variety Koi (Kawarimono) includes all non-metallic koi that are not in other species, and is therefore a fairly large category. This variety type is the product of crossbreeding between different varieties, although the origin of some varieties and strains is unknown.
