Planting technique
1, breeding mode
Usually, when planting bracken, it can be propagated through sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction, of which asexual reproduction is the simplest. You can dig out the underground roots of bracken, choose strong ramets and plant them in the ground. When planting, the row spacing should be between seven zones and 80 cm, and the spacing between plants should be between 50 and 60 cm.
2. Soil preparation
Usually, when planting Pteridium aquilinum, we should choose humus-rich soil, apply organic fertilizers such as deciduous compost and animal manure when preparing the soil, and then make it into a flat or high border with a width of one centimeter, and plant it after the land is completely thawed.
3. Tian Tuan management
The field management of planting bracken is also very heavy. Weeding and watering should be done in time during its growth period, and drainage should be strengthened after the rainy season, otherwise it will cause root rot. During the peak season, topdressing should be done in time. It is best to choose thin liquid fertilizer and cover it with hay after winter to ensure that new buds will grow in time after the next spring.
Step 4 harvest
Pteridium aquilinum can be harvested for many years after being planted once. Spring and early summer are the best seasons to harvest bracken. When its young stems are about 25 cm long and its leaflets are not stretched, it can be harvested and eaten immediately after harvesting. If it is not harvested for a long time, its edible value will be affected, but premature harvesting will reduce the yield in the coming year.
