For restoration, we can choose light-cured resin restoration, porcelain veneer restoration and full crown restoration.
1. resin repair
Resin repair is the use of light-cured resin repair. In general, resin can be used to repair enamel hypoplasia caused by tetracycline teeth.
2. Porcelain veneer restoration
For some people whose teeth are changed by tetracycline, which seriously affects their appearance, porcelain veneer can be chosen for restoration. Porcelain veneer restoration is mainly to thin the tooth surface by about 0.5 mm, and thin some advanced veneers by 0.3 mm. Then the veneer is bonded by modern bonding technology. The effect will be particularly obvious, and porcelain veneer is also the mainstream method of modern aesthetic restoration.
3. Full crown restoration
For some tetracycline teeth with severe enamel hypoplasia or brittle teeth, we can carry out full crown restoration to protect teeth. This can protect your teeth and choose your own suitable color.
Dichromic method
Decolorization methods are generally divided into external decoloration method and internal decoloration method. Decolorization is only applicable to those who are not accompanied by enamel defects.
1. external decoloration method
The external decoloration method is to attach the paper soaked in 30% hydrogen peroxide solution to the lip surface of the anterior teeth, leaving less than a distance from the gingival margin. Irradiate with infrared ray or incandescent lamp for ten minutes, 5-8 times in a course of treatment. Practice has proved that external decoloration can't weaken dentin with colored fluorescent bands, but the teeth are improved by naked eye observation. Generally, the tooth color can be restored after six months to one year. Because of the high concentration of hydrogen peroxide solution, the demineralization of enamel surface can be chalky, which reduces the original transparency of enamel, reduces the reactivity of colored dentin, and over time, the enamel remineralizes, the transparency increases and the color recovers, which is an important reason for this so-called color jump.
2 internal decoloration method
Internal decoloration is used to remove pulp for decoloration. After conventional pulp extraction, the root canal filling was lowered to 2~3 mm below the neck and filled with glass ionomer cement. When decoloring, 30% hydrogen peroxide solution or a paste made of 30% hydrogen peroxide solution and sodium borate is injected into the medullary cavity. Change the dressing every three days, ***4 to 6 times. When the color is satisfactory, the cavity is filled with composite resin. This method can effectively remove or change the tetracycline content originally combined in dentin, and the fluorescence level is obviously reduced, and the clinical effect is very satisfactory. This method can be tried for those who are in urgent need of beauty due to professional relationship and are not accompanied by enamel defects. The disadvantage of this method is that the living pulp teeth become dead pulp teeth. Although the short-term effect is reliable, the long-term effect remains to be seen.
The above methods can whiten tetracycline teeth, and we can choose the method that suits us according to our personal situation. I believe that there will be no embarrassment of being judged by others because of a tooth in the future.
