Medicinal value

Indications: expelling wind and relieving pain, removing blood stasis and stopping bleeding. [4] Used for chronic tracheitis, stomachache and rheumatic joint pain; External use for treating traumatic injury, burn and scald, traumatic hemorrhage and allergic dermatitis.

Root bark (Chinese fir root): pungent, warm. Used for stranguria, hernia, dysentery, abdominal pain, joint pain, traumatic injury and scabies.

Bark (Chinese fir bark): expelling wind and relieving pain, eliminating dampness and stopping bleeding. Used for edema, beriberi, golden sore, lacquer sore and scald.

Nodules on branches (Cunninghamia lanceolata); Used for beriberi, lump, joint pain, leukorrhagia, and blood stasis.

Heartwood, branches and leaves (Chinese fir and Chinese fir leaves): pungent, slightly warm. Purge filth, relieve pain, disperse dampness and toxin, and reduce adverse qi.
