The scientific name of snail is China snail, which is widely distributed in freshwater lakes, reservoirs, paddy fields, ponds and ditches in China. Snail shells are calcareous, thin, spiral and right-handed. The outer surface of the shell is yellowish green to yellowish brown, and the color varies with the environment and water quality. The inner surface is gray, the top of the shell is slightly pointed, the bottom of the shell is enlarged, the mouth of the shell is oval, the edge is complete and horny.
Snails are rich in nutrients, including protein, fat, thiamine, riboflavin, nicotinic acid, vitamins A, B 1, B2, D, nicotinic acid, calcium, phosphorus and iron.
